This place is awesome! I ordered my husband's birthday cake from here and it was SO good! He loved it. And they decorated it with a cute National Park design. While I was there picking it up we treated ourselves to breakfast sandwiches and some delicious coffee drinks too. Cannot recommend this place enough! Wish I lived close so I could go more often!

Great place! Lu’s Cafe & Bakery had a booth at Methuen Day, so we decided to check them out today while we were in Lawrence. Everything was excellent, especially the Vietnamese Caramel Special coffee, and the pernil breakfast sandwich. Plus the service was quick and very friendly. We'll definitely be back ❤️

Food is decent for the price. Was charged an extra dollar for ranch to go with my buffalo chicken wrap and it wasn’t even in it or on the side smh 👎🏼

Really disappointed in the cake quoting service they offer. I sent a request for a quote around Sept 21, received an email asking for more details Sept 22. I responded on the 22 and sent further details, didn’t receive a response so I followed up on the 25th. I was told on the 25th they had too many orders and needed more time to work on my estimate. Mind you, at this time they had all the information on when I needed the cake for. I followed up on the 1st, right before I moved, to see if they had finalized the quote. They responded on the 1st in the evening (which I missed since I was moving the whole week). I responded on the 8th confirming the order and today, on October 10th I was told they had no capacity and were fully booked that weekend. I’m pretty shocked as I had stopped searching for vendors and it was clear in our communications we were finalizing the details for the cake for my son’s birthday on a specific date. Very unprofessional and will not be reaching out to them in the future.

What a hidden gem of a cafe in downtown Lawrence! I've lived in here for six years and rarely venture across the bridge in the downtown area because it's not been the most welcome of areas. Nevertheless, the weather was beautiful today, the roads were quiet, and a trip to the highly rated Lu's, was in order...and it did not disappoint! The croissant was light and buttery, the boba peach tea was on point, the warm blueberry muffin was to die for, and the atmosphere was open and welcoming. Highly recommend a walk in to grab a bakery item, sandwich, or tea if you're in the area. Lu's is an awesome addition to the downtown Lawrence area and I'm totally feeling the cleanup projects, street art murals, and easy vibes that little eateries like Lu's are bringing to the area.

Best bakery and café in Lawrence! I absolutely adore this place. We've been getting cakes from them for my fiancée's birthdays each year and Lori always knocks our expectations out of the water. Lu’s cafe is second to none when it comes to coffee! Authentic and tasty! Friendly staff and a beautiful atmosphere. They deserve all the hype for all their hard work and great food. 100% recommend you try their Viet Mocha Special. Perfect amount of sweetness and the coffee flavor still strong.
