The dining was so quaint and the food was exquisite. My sister had the Duck with Demi glaze, asparagus and a yummy beet salad on the side. I had the special tonight that was a large pork chop with tomato risotto. The pork chop was cooked to perfection. Tender and juicy. I added a bit of their homemade horseradish cream sauce on the pork chop and it was delicious. The risotto was very delightful and tasty. I will definitely come back again while in town.
Stopped for dinner on a Sunday evening while traveling from NY to Boston. Quaint old Inn. My husband had the TBone steak. It was cooked medium rare, which was exactly what he wanted, but it was heavily salted. The french fries were a bit too salty also. Other than that ... the meals were good.
We both had steak dinner. She the tenderloin and I had the strip. Both as tender as could be and flavorful. They must double fry the hand cut fries because they are so crunchy and flavorful. Great selection of beer and wine. It’s quite a full meal.
Our server was so pleasant and attentive.
The place has really authentic old tavern atmosphere...
