The food is amazing, never had an issue in all my years... many 😉
There's hardly ever a wait with 3 dining rooms, waitstaff is on point, polite, attentive, but not overbearing 👍🏼

So , a group of friends went last night. We had been there previously and it was wonderful. Out of courtesy I called head of time as reservations are not taken. To my surprise I spoke to Liz who informed me that we would have to pick from a limited menu. I asked why as we have never had to do this before. She told me that because we were a large group basically it is what it is. Needless to say very disappointed with her. I can’t say enough about our waitress laurel she was fantastic and made our night as it started off horribly. I would think twice about letting Liz dictate about what can and should be served.

We have been ordering here for 37 years. We got take out last night, same things we've always ordered. Chicken parm, gnocchi and cheese ravioli. NOT the same, absolutely disgusting. Threw the ravioli away, not even edible. Gnocchi were much smaller and watery. Chicken overcooked. It wasn't cheap either. Will have to find a different place when we want Italian food.
This could be a long review and bottom line in every facet of a restaurant and I have owned many this El Camino has it dialed in. Beth B was my waitress we were getting a quick meal because my step father needed to eat as did I and my mom is in hospice with not much time left. Beth was so accommodating and the Chef absolutely nailed it. I am from the area but moved away years ago due to military deployment. My family recommended El Camino and this place is the best I have had and if your in town you gotta try this restaurant family feel small town feel I LOVE THIS PLACE.

Admittedly we went on a Saturday night in peak times, so the wait staff were running very thin, and wait times were extended, and the food which is normally outstanding, last night was just fair, my guest's spaghetti with clam sauce was rather thin and liquid, and my Seafood Alfredo seemed almost room temp when we got them nearly 50 minutes after ordering. Were given our salads without utensils to eat with and flagging a waitstaff who were spread too thin to be affective, was a challenge. Going forward we will plan to go during non peak times to take advantage of a slower pace, and greater waitstaff to eater ratios. I'm certain last night doesn't change my love of Il Camino, just signals that during peak times may not be the best time for a stressed staff.

The restaurant was not comfortable. I was cold, I kept my jacket on the whole time. Others did the same. I ordered chicken pocatta this would have been outstanding but the chef forgot lemon in the sauce, I had a side of angel hair pasta, it was some sort of ribbon pasta that was over cooked. . Food presented well to the eyes amd the chicken was cooked perfectly., if the sauce had lemon flavor that would have been amazing as the food was hot out of the kitchen. Juliana our server did a very good job. Friendly and attentive.

Went there during hours pisted clearly t on their door as supposed to be open and they were closed. NOT A VERY GOID FORST IMPRESDION. Perhaps whoever owns and manages this place will pull their head out from where the sun doesn't shine and actually honor the times they state they are open. What a waste of time and gas. Took Ann hour and ten minutes to get to a closed restaurant that stat r d, on line, they were open. Spent nothing obviously.

Food was delicious. Drinks were spot on. The atmosphere is a little cramped. Nice but pretty plain. We are not nearby frequently so it won't be a regular stop but I definitely would go back again. I had veal it was good but just a little tough for veal.
