I rarely leave bad reviews, but my experience at Yamamoto Japan was genuinely disappointing from start to finish.
First off, the service was painfully slow — The rolls fell apart as soon as we tried to pick them up, the rice and shrimp was chewy and not flavorful, the steak didn't even look like steak.
The miso soup was lukewarm, with barely any flavor, and the fried calamari tasted like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. To make matters worse, our server barely checked on us, and we had to flag someone down just to pay our bill.
For the prices they charge, I expected much better quality and service. I’ve had better Japanese food from a mall food court. Unfortunately, I won’t be coming back or recommending this restaurant.

A big selection of decent quality sushi. We enjoyed our trip and didn't run out of items to try on the menu on our first visit.
Big menu, fresh sushi, nice people. The hibachi aspect isn't one of those Benihana-like places with the onion 🌋 volcanoes and flying shrimp. They hibachi it in the back and just serve it to you, but it's still very good without the show. It's a tiny sushi-ya feel inside.
