I've been coming to blue water since it first opened over a decade ago, when I was one of the first regulars. Helen and her husband (the owners) saw me graduate highschool, college, get married, buy a house. This is hands down the best sushi in MA and we are so blessed in Ludlow to have them here. Coming here feels like home, and Helen always makes sure to come say hi to us personally. The fish is high quality and fresh, paired masterfully with flavors, the drinks are strong but not too strong, everything is always cooked perfectly. I hold all sushi- and fried ice cream- to their standard 💛
Dietary restrictions: Not many gluten free options because of all the soy sauce
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly if your kids like sushi
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp, plus staff can move the tables around easily to accomodate.

Decided to come here after hearing nothing but good reviews, and to say the least, I was absolutely blown away. Definitely the best sushi I’ve had since I moved to Massachusetts I 100% recommend.

This place is worth a try or two. The food is somewhere between OK and good, but definitely not bad. They have a few unique rolls and appetizers, but several familiar favorites too. Noodles are great, very tasty and good variety.
There is plenty of seating for family and friends.
Parking is a little weird, there are many places to park, but is definitely awkward and mostly street parking.
Convenient location if you are running errands and want to stop quick.
They package hot and cold food separately for take out orders which is much appreciated and very professional.
I can recommend Blue Water if you're looking for a decent sushi place to try. Good luck out there, hope this helps.

Sushi was decent but management will try to up charge you for everything. It doesn’t matter if you’re allergic or don’t like something that’s in the meal, management simply doesn’t care and doesn’t make you feel special. A simple swap to use salmon instead of tuna is something they could easily do to make customers happy because the 2 items are the same in price but they refused. I won’t be back! I will take all my weekly business to IKURA instead. They have much better quality fish anyways!
