Have to let it be known! We were immediately seated right next to the food expo, and point of sale systems. Manager and waitresses walked by for 15 minutes and nobody came to us to take our order. Nobody even said “I’ll be right with you”. We told the lady on our way out. She just apologized but didn’t bother to try and keep us there. Lazy wait staff. Probably won’t be back.

So, I never write restaurant reviews. I will for this place tho. My wife and I haves been regulars there from the day they opened over 20 years ago. Spent many thousands of dollars there over there..Was my favourite restaurant to eat at .. being a chef w/ multiple successful restaurants I know how to treat customers never mind one of you’re best customers. So the food is fantastic, but the wife (Helen)of the owner is a complete disgrace! She screwed me for “1$” knowing she did it.. I questioned her and she said it is what is. Even acknowledging she said there was an issue on they’re behalf. I’m not bashing the restaurant because it’s obviously delicious .. but the wife doesn’t treat her GREAT customers rite! Remember that, she’s no good! Her husband Leo is an amazing man and a great sushi chef!

We recently had a family gathering at the restaurant. Their were 15 people that attended. The appetizers were very tasty and the sushi, along with other dishes, was superb.Everyone enjoyed the cocktails as well. The waitress was friendly and efficient which added to the overall excellent dining experience. Thank you all very much!

This place is a hidden gem. It is the best place to get sushi high quality and fresh. The plate presentation shows a lot of work went into making sure each sushi roll is perfect. If you have never been here you must give it a try.
I've been coming to blue water since it first opened over a decade ago, when I was one of the first regulars. Helen and her husband (the owners) saw me graduate highschool, college, get married, buy a house. This is hands down the best sushi in MA and we are so blessed in Ludlow to have them here. Coming here feels like home, and Helen always makes sure to come say hi to us personally. The fish is high quality and fresh, paired masterfully with flavors, the drinks are strong but not too strong, everything is always cooked perfectly. I hold all sushi- and fried ice cream- to their standard 💛
Dietary restrictions: Not many gluten free options because of all the soy sauce
Kid-friendliness: Very kid friendly if your kids like sushi
Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair ramp, plus staff can move the tables around easily to accomodate.
Decided to come here after hearing nothing but good reviews, and to say the least, I was absolutely blown away. Definitely the best sushi I’ve had since I moved to Massachusetts I 100% recommend.
