Awesome spot
Great beers! Great people!! Great place!!!
I encountered Sole Syndicate stand during one of the beer festivals before and decided to pay a visit to the brewery. It occupies an industrial building. The space is separated into several sections. I visited during the winter and it was pretty cold inside, so I had to stay in my coat. There is a kitchen consisting of a food truck sitting in a designated space in the wall. The food was mostly ok - I liked naan bread, two different quesadillas were fine, but the portion of pickles seemed to be very small. The service might be hit or miss. I was served by three different people, since I spent a lot of time there. The first bartender was attentive and asked whenever I needed a new glass. The second bartender did not pay any attention to the state of the glasses until explicitly asked. Later I switched to the table, and the table service was fine.
The brewery contains a selection of beers on tap with an option of ordering a flight of four. For this review I tried all the beers they had on tap as well as their beer and seltzer-based cocktails. There was exactly one beer I enjoyed - Double Barrel Drift (Winter Warmer). Barreling did this beer a nice service to create a complex and layered flavor profile. Unfortunately, the majority of the other beers were a miss for me. All the sours were watery and lacking in taste. The IPAs were ok, but mostly basic (except maybe Judgy Eyes). The brown ale was really bitter, which might be ok for some, but I'm not used to this taste in brown ales. And so on. Both me and my wife did not enjoy the cocktails, as we found them to be flat.
While all of this is a subjective opinion, our experience was mostly just OK - not really good, not really bad, just Meh. Your mileage may vary.
This is a great location and venue, the beer is not my jam but is good. My biggest problem with this place is the poor service during events. We waited for 30 minutes with empty drinks and had to go to ask for service. It then took another 20
minutes to get our drinks. Paying our tab was also a nightmare that took way too long. This was not the first time we had this experience. They need to improve their system not to mention they are losing money. I really love the venue and hope they get this figured out soon.
Great beer and atmosphere, you gotta check it out!
Service is lacking bad.
Great atmosphere and brews
Great space Great beer and friendly clientele and staff
Great food & drink.
Got a gem with this find! We had a lacrosse event at UMass this weekend and I needed a place that could host 50-100 people plus cater food for everyone. Vicky was so helpful in making sure I had my reservations nailed down and enough food to feed everyone. Once there the atmosphere was perfect for parents who just spend a long day cheering on their girls and wanted to wind down with a couple beers. It was also exactly what the girls needed, tables for them to gather with friends, delicious comfort food, and even corn hole to kill time waiting for the “rents” to finish their beers. We will definitely be back! Thank you Nick for being an awesome host and making sure everything was perfect!

The atmosphere is amazing! Staff is friendly, knowledgeable and helpful! Manager VICKY, is patient, kind, smart and will help with whatever you need. I was there as the “entertainment” for a fundraiser. Go there. Have your party or just relax! Lisa Lanno
THE DUKE BABY!!! WOOOOO!!! Thank you to Vicky and Aaliyah (spelled right? 🤔) for great service. Rock N Roll!!! WOOO!!! 🎸🗣️‼️
Really cool place, lot's of seating & parking, food truck, and I really enjoy their 4 a.m. NE Hazy IPA. I'm rating it a 4.25 out of 5 on Untappd. My gf owns a business super close by and I happened onto this place, and I was pleasantly surprised. I'll be coming here regularly. Looks like they are rebranding the name to Sole Syndicate Brewing.
We go to Iron Duke every Thursday for trivia (7-9 pm). Such a great atmosphere, and I love that the trivia is team based and without cell phones! (John, who hosts trivia, is great!) The food comes from a food truck and ranges from decent to really good. The eggrolls are the best (especially when they have jalapeño!). I’m not a huge beer drinker so I particularly appreciate that they reliably have 2-3 hard seltzer varieties available. Very dog friendly, too!
Great food, seltzers, atmosphere and staff.
