Our party of 5 attempted to place a takeout order after checking the restaurant's website for options. We called ahead to clarify and to see what sides would come with our order, since we wouldn't be dining in and therefore not receiving the complimentary soup of the day (which seemed a bit unnecessary—less mess and fewer logistics, right?). The staff informed us that our takeout order would include French fries and rice, which sounded good to us.
When we were ready to place our order, I asked for a moment to finalize our choices and would call back in less than 3 minutes. Understandable right? So I hung up and my wife called back less than a minute later, only to be told they were not accepting any takeout orders. This left us bewildered—why weren't we informed earlier, especially since we had just spoken to them a moment prior ( same Person Mind You)? It would have been considerate to update their website or let us know during our first call.
Mistakes happen, of course, but a simple acknowledgment and effort to resolve the situation would have been appreciated. It feels frustrating when a restaurant turns away customers, especially after initially confirming that takeout was an option. It seems like business must be BOOMING for them to turn down orders in this economy.

I've been to Portugal 5 times and ate in many restaurants there. This is the best authentic Portuguese food I've eaten in Massachusetts!! It was a little pricey but will definitely be back!!

This was the first time we had been there. Staff was excellent. I had the Lupo beer which was one of the best pilsners I've had in a while. The place was busy but everyone was very relaxed. We had a toddler with us and the staff was very accommodating.
Vegetarian options: There are several tasty salads to choose from.
Kid-friendliness: We had a toddler with us and they were very accommodating with child sized portions and a high chair.

We celebrated my 50th birthday lunch here. The food was amazing as usual. Chef Kyle came out to the table to make sure everything was going great. The wait staff (Lexy ) was excellent. If you haven’t been here you must try it!! Also the Portuguese music was a very nice touch.
