This was the worst experience we have ever had at this restaurant. We had reserved a round table at the back of the restaurant, which they gave to some other party just before we got there. They sat us at a long table next to the table I had reserved. The noise level was awful, we couldn't hear each other talk, as the people at the round table were so loud. Also the waitress had an attitude and did not bring us drinks when we asked for them. She never checked with us about anything we needed. The food was great as usual. But because of the issues with our reservation, we will NEVER go here again. We have always used this location before as we go there many times a year, but never again.

Food was ok, has been better in the past. If I could give drinks 1 star I would. Tried a couple mixed drinks, they both were overwhelmingly sweet with little to no alcohol. I was expecting a simple side of veggies, and they were drowned in a sauce. I actually like my veggies, and prefer to taste them over any sauce or cream. My salmon was perfect, my husband's meal was a little overcooked. The service was good, I wasn't expecting 5 star service on a busy Saturday night.

The restaurant was packed, very loud, and the service was incredibly slow throughout the meal. We waited over 40 minutes for our entrees to arrive which seemed to be due to a kitchen backup, not the wait staff. The food looked like it had been slung onto the plate and items that should not have been warm were quite warm - coleslaw and tartar sauce. Have enjoyed this restaurant in the past but I won't be back. Also it was too loud to have a good conversation and the tables were packed together.

We had a great meal and exceptional service from Gio, our server. We were seated in a far corner which was quite quiet. The black cod was cooked perfectly and the vegatables were not over cooked.

I usually order well done Salmon on a salad. But this time I got a salmon dinner. The salmon was cooked fine but very very salty and doused in oil.... Which it didn't need. I got so nauseas from the oil and the fat from the fish that I was sick all night after eating it. Would I go back? Probably... would I order that again?? No.

As I'm talking to my guest and waiting for our appetizers. A mouse ran from the bathroom to under the cart with dishes.

While visiting Salem, MA, we wanted to have seafood. Well, we're blown away by the high quality of this restaurant's seafood menu. We loved the salmon, flounder, cod, fried calamari, and the oysters were delicious. We liked it so much that we went twice. Outstanding service. Hope the one in NJ is as good as the one in MA.

Everything was great and our waiter Tristen was outstanding. Without a doubt he was the best waiter we have had anywhere. Thank you Tristen!

Legal Sea Foods used to be a nice place to eat but I am quite disappointed with my last experience. I ordered shrimps with fries and coleslaw and requested the cajun seasoning. The fries were the worse but nothing was really outstanding. No real flavor. I tried to end the meal well with a lemon ice cream, but not only the dessert presentation was lacking but it was more sweet than fruity. I will have a hard time to convince myself to give this restaurant another try…

Service was not good. We did not get our meals at that same time. We were not checked on. Had to go to the desk to get a check. Check was not provided just electronic check out. Asked for the check. Once we had the check, server never came back to check us out. Luckily we had enough cash. Paid bill and walked out.

Food was not good at all. Lobster was dry and overcooked and the filet first came out overcooked, sent it back and it came out raw. Terrible food. Will not be going back.

We were there yesterday afternoon for lunch. The place was empty - maybe 3 to 4 people at the bar and maybe two tables occupied. I ordered steamers and whipped ricotta with fresh figs, prosciutto and bruschetta. I asked for the ricotta to be served as the appetizer and the steamers as my entrée. My husband ordered a half a dozen oysters, and expressed that he wasn't sure what he wanted for an entrée. Unfortunately, the steamers arrived first, they were lukewarm, as was the butter and lemon water that accompanied them. When the ricotta dish arrived moments later, the accompanying bruschetta was cold and stale, as if it had been toasted hours earlier. Finally, my husband received the oysters. Although the place was not the least bit busy, neither of the bartenders came by to ask how our food was, or to see if my husband was ready to order. By the time they got around to checking on us, it was after 3 PM. No longer the lunch hour, and we were ready to leave. It seems that with each recent visit the quality of the food and service decreases. I'll think twice before returning. Very, very disappointing.

Everything was Amazing, from the moment we were greeted & seated. Our Server was exceptional and very informative about local attractions, etc. She explained where the Oysters were from as well. Great place! Highly recommend!
