I stopped here at the recommendation of someone and I got the chicken finger sub and onion rings. I will say the food was good and the service was great. I think the prices were a little expensive. Would I eat here again yes I would.

I have to change my review! Been going there since the early 80's my parents even longer! I am no longer wasting my money! This is the SECOND time I specifically asked for all sub rolls on an order of 3 subs. NO Braided rolls I can't have sesame seeds due to diverticulitis! ITS ALWAYS MY COLD SUB TOO! Why should I spend money on food I can't eat!!! When I call they say if you drive back here they will change my bread! Are you serious I have to spend money in gas to basically pay for your repeated mistakes. An what are you gonna do just pull the meat out and slap it on new bread?! This place is no longer worth being open! It's been going down hill for years. It's hit the end of even my nostalgia! I'll go else where. Where I can eat the food served to me. Also not have to pay for someone else's mistake and be grossed out by their idea of just changing out the bread!

These clowns can't make anything as good as when Nick was running things. They barely speak English. Food has gone way downhill. Check out Michael Imondi youtube channel "THE REAL" if you don't believe me. And he grew up near there and remembers when it was good. Now it sucks. Too bad.

The food was great! My delivery driver dropped my stuff off at the wrong house and forgot to give me my drink. I recommend this place for good priced food that is very tasty. The driver did text me a picture where he had left my food and we figured it out. So I wouldn’t worry overly about it, the place I was staying was in an inconvenient location down a driveway.

No consistency with this place whatsoever. I’ve had friendly encounters with the staff and delicious subs that I’ve even called and praised after eating. I’ve also had extremely rude encounters with the staff and subpar food. Today I ordered the chicken finger sub which I’ve praised many times in the past. I made a point to order it for pickup through their website’s online portal since it gives you detailed options for customizing your sub. They took the bread I chose into consideration and ignored the rest of my order. This isn’t the first time this has happened, and on a previous occasion when I simply asked if they could add a sauce to my sub (which I certainly asked for originally), the guy spiked my sub into the trash barrel in rage and then made a completely new sub. Its hardly justifiable to spend $16 on a sub composed of $2 worth of frozen chicken cutlets, but the least you can do is put some love into it, or at least the toppings your customers pay for.

I bought 2 meatball subs with cheese and asked to add pepperoni, usually the would charge about $14, the lady charged extra for the cheese and for the pepperoni. The menu charges $13.75 for a meatball, cheese and sausage sub. But the lady charged about $17 for substituting the sausage for pepperoni and when I spoke to her about, she blamed the register. She said she has no control over how the register charges.
They basically overcharged $8 for a meal. Besides her attitude was very unpleasant.

I have been getting my subs from Big A for 40+ years. Nick was a great owner and he made HUGE subs. I got a ham & cheese and steak and cheese tonight. Prices have gone up. Instead of a fully packed sub with loads of deli ham, I found ham chunks that were used as filler. The other had a thin layer of steak. I’m disgusted and will never order from there again. Shame on you. Don’t ruin Nick’s good name.

Really great food. Been eating here since sometime in the mid 1980s. My favorite chicken parmesan sub on the planet. I grew up locally but now live in California and Big A is one of my first stops.

I love the pizza crust, one of the few places where I don't leave anything behind. Still has a great vibe after decades of operation. True local treasure.
