I love Eastern European food and hadn't had Moldovan; the flavor palate is amazing, it's like Polish, Ukrainian or Russian but different and delicious. The place is a different restaurant for breakfast and lunch, the two businesses just share the storefront, so this is like a gorgeous hidden surprise. The owner is the chef and the whole staff, so be nice to him, this is an artist at work sharing yummy food that's hard to find elsewhere. The place is clean and pleasant, there's a couple of tables on the sidewalk in good weather.

I would die on a hill for this place. Absolute gem— worth going out of the way for or planning a day around. I always come here after kayaking at Spot Pond. The portions are huge, the flavors are ones you can’t easily get anywhere else outside of Eastern Europe, and the team is lovely. Absolutely worth getting a bowl, an app, and some walnut cake. You’ll be happily full.

First time trying Eastern European food and it was honestly fantastic. Got the Taste of Moldova and Cabbage Wraps, which had big portions and strong flavors. Personally I liked the cabbage wraps the most, but I feel like if I ate it in the restaurant, the pork bowl would've been better since it would still be fresh and hot.

Absolute hidden gem! Stopped to grab a takeaway dinner as I passed through Malden and was very impressed. The white beans and mushrooms were delicious and the cabbage savoury pie was perfectly prepared. Will definitely be back next time I'm in the area.

I really wanted to give this place a 5-star review like what we see from others and what made us go there. And initially everything was fine - the cabbage rolls and the taste of Moldova were delicious, the owner was nice and chatty.
This - until I decided to get a piece of the walnut cake. I saw a full tray and also a single piece on another almost empty tray. I thought it was stale and the owner would likely try to offload it on me. Yet I decided to give him the benefit of the doubt - perhaps there was no room for this piece on the full tray. I bought it. My initial instinct was right - the cake was so stale and dry that the cream at the top is cracked as you can see in my picture.
I understand this is a small business that needs to stay cost-efficient, but this kind of cost savings approach just lost them a customer.
