El Mexsal Authentic Latin Food

If you ever had rice out of a box… you know. Not enough protein TV dinner portions.

We ordered a large family meal for takeout on Mother’s Day at 9:20pm. We were afraid they wouldn’t be able to make the order since they close at 10pm. They stayed open until 10:20pm to make our order fresh and it was delicious! We got the chicken and beef empanadas, shrimp ceviche, papusas, talipia fish plate x2, chicken and rice plate, shrimp tacos, carne asada plate, and Alfredo pasta. Everything was excellent and tasted very well seasoned. Reasonably priced for the amount of food received. The customer service was great. Will definitely be ordering again!

Great food! First time today - we got the huevos rancheros and Salvadoran huevos tipicos. Will definitely be back.

Great food and great service. This is a very quiet, hide-away hole in the wall restaurant with great food and great service. I would definitely return to this establishment again and again.

Definitely a neighborhood gem!! Loved their authentic Mexican/Salvadoran cuisine! Very reasonable price and delicious food!

Here's what seems to me an authentic family run Mexican restaurant. They even had their kids running around when I was there. Very Homey. It's a tiny place and they speak Spanish to each other, which I think adds to the ambiance. Yes, they also understand English.

The meal was above average and the staff quite friendly. Here's a place I'll be revisiting soon.

What a disgusting food, I don't recommend it, the atol was cold and the corn was pure rubber, what a horror, don't spend your money there, this doesn't work.

always a great choice for a take out or casual eat in experience here as a local spot! drinks are great and affordable. I’ve had their birria tacos and fries, arroz con pollo, carne asada, taquitos and more! I’m always trying something different and they don’t disappoint. Service is especially friendly too.

I ordered “fajita quesadilla” (fajita quesadilla, served with lettuce,guacamole, sour cream, pico de gallo ,rice and pinto beans on the side.) please explain how this is a quesadilla? With said “quesadilla,” client can expect to receive 1 teaspoon of guacamole from a squeeze tube and about 2 oz of meat for $15. Taquitos are tasteless and came in a burnt plastic container.

The app charged the item I ordered, when the item was not available. They called me from the restaurant to offer a substitution that wasn’t what they described. Specifically I ordered Salvadoran chicharrones, they offered me back Colombian chicharrones. What I picked up wasn’t Colombian chicharrones but instead fried bacon! Disgusting! Chicharrones any style, are NEVER smoked and so so salty.
I asked the app and they referred me to the restaurant. I called the restaurant and they said that is what they serve as Colombian with no regards to the client’s complaint.
I will Never order from this place again. And will never use the app GRABULL, mostly because of their way of not dealing with the issue and for charging an item they didn’t have.
