Our server Shy was friendly and efficient. I really liked her! The meal was well paced and the main entrees were great. There were six of us and everyone liked their meals. I got the Apple crisp for dessert and it was just ok. The seven dollar drink special was a Bourbon Lemonade and it was fantastic. Great bar and great vibe. Malden is lucky to have this gem of a restaurant
Worse steak I ever had —- not even cooked as I ordered but half the steak was thin and half was thick so how could they. Very disappointing especially at that price.
Very nice evening. Reservation was honored right in time. Service was polite and attentive and the food was excellent. I like the spin on some of the recipies and can tell the head chef knows his/her art. I will return.
Horrible experience and the employees don't have the confidence to admit they made mistakes. I brought a cake for my birthday and they dropped it at some point. Then they tried to cover it up and re-frosted the cake. The manager is unprofessional and has no problem solving skills. Don't waste your time here.
Sat at the bar for apps and drinks, bartender was nice and food was pretty good. Really enjoyed the cauliflower crust pizza!
AMAZING all around!! Our waitress, Renee was fantastic! She was very knowledgeable and pleasant! The food was SO FLAVORFUL, drinks were delicious! Great options to choose from!! The ambience was inviting and pretty! We weren't rushed. Just an absolute must visit! Total GEM!!
One of the worst meals in a decade. It was obvious that the kitchen cut corners on the food to deliver sub-par food to save money. The server was morose, and did not bus our appetizer away from the table. The ambiance was similar to a wedding reception in a gym. The cocktails were okay. The front of the restaurant is cute.
Went to Exchange Street Bistro on Wednesday January 15 2025 with Mom and her group we started of with the soup of the day Beef stew and then a BISTRO BURGER everything was excellent 67EXCHANGE MALDEN

The best calamari anywhere. Good service and drinks. Pretty everything is good except the steak, which came out gray and raw.

After grabbing dinner at a spot close by last night me and a group of girls stopped in Exchange Street to grab an espresso martini. I was APPALLED at the service we received. Immediately upon entering you could sense the bartender was annoyed with us, no one greeted us, asked if we needed anything etc. There was 9 of us so I asked politely if we could sit at one of the bar room tables and she rudely said “yeah but I’m not bringing your drinks over you have to get them up here and last call is in 30 minutes”. We sit and wait while she’s making our drinks then she yells at our table “come get your drinks they are sitting here” in such a rude tone (she put the drinks on the complete other side of the bar from where we sat). The bus boy is walking around and one of the girls asks him for the check so he goes back to grab it from her and she rudely says “they have to come get it” - instead of just handing the check to him. One of us wanted another drink so she asked the gentleman at the bar we had been socializing with to order it for her since he was sitting there (which she proceeded to make for him) until realizing it was for us she yelled “I already told THEM it was last call” at this point it was not midnight yet and not last call and the guys at the bar were so confused asking us what her problem was. She was so degrading and rude to us I have never experienced such a miserable bartender. I have been a waitress for 14 years and truly was disgusted by her customer service. This is the first time in my entire life I did not leave a tip. People have off days but it was very blatant this woman did not like us from the second we walked in. I am a white woman but the majority of our party were women of color and I truly feel if we had been a bunch of middle aged white ladies we would have been treated much differently. The bartenders name was Kelly and we will be sure to never go back to this establishment.

Been here like a dozen times but today was extra special so I had to write a review. We got a couple martinis (her a pistachio martini, me a regular martini, always fantastic).
Get the short rib arancini and seafood scampi but everything is good. Love the ambience, the people, the staff, just everything. Ryan helped us out today and was phenomenal. Can’t wait to come back. Hurry up phenomenal super stress yeah martini happy anniversary

We were a party of nine celebrating my son's birthday. We had a big booth and it wasn't too loud so we could all talk. Service was great. The waiter was very attentive. Everyone loved their food. Had really great oysters, bruschetta and calamari for apps. Dinner was delish from the lobster mac & cheese to the steak frites to the pork chop Milanese. Also had a gluten free Bolognese pasta dish and a salmon dish.. Topped it all off with desserts. Great job Exchange Street bistro.
Short Rib was excellent. Scallops were tiny for the price. Chicken was way over cooked. Brussels sprouts were hard as a rock. The bourbon drink had very little alcohol. Even the waitress stated that doesn't look right. The waitress got my brother in law another one and they made it the correct way. My sister in law and husband would not complain about the chicken.
