I'm a Gong Cha fan. Pearl Milk Tea is my go to drink.

The publick wifi of Gong Cha is really bad and it does not connect at all. I am a frequent customer at GC malden and this is dissapointing of service. I asked for a different wifi but the staff refused (12/22).

Great place very friendly staff, love the dirty brown sugar and probably the best ice water I’ve ever had (lol)

Very good drink & excellent staff. They made us delicious drinks with amazing customer service. Shoutout the the young lady working that night that made my spouse’s drink. She told us to try it before we left and make sure we liked it otherwise she was going to remake it for us.

10/10 — she deserves a raise and best things in life. Good luck miss! Thank you again for making us feel welcomed!!

Poor customer service.

Drinks are good. Staff is usually fine but can be extremely rude. Even when there's no other customers, they would ignore me when I walk in to pick up a mobile order. I understand they get very busy sometimes with limited staff to juggle taking orders and making drinks but basic customer service is lacking.

ordered 2 drinks with different tea base. 1 tasted like diluted milk and the other tasted like tea concentrate. the pearl were clumping and tough(like it has been left sitting for too long). the wait time was more than 20 minutes even though I'm 2nd in queue.

The milk tea tastes ok, but the attitude is really rubbish. When I wanted to order, the waiter ignored me and rolled his eyes.

hi! i previously worked here and wanted to share my experience with everyone stumbling across this location.

TLDR; bad customer service if you have questions, drinks are rushed, if you're looking to work here- i advise against it. if you need somewhere to study, this place is suitable.

working here: it is VERY understaffed, shifts are typically 6-8 hours, expect a 12 hour if you're working on the weekend. there is little room for schedule flexibility. the manager will not treat you with any trust if you're new. expect harsh and rude treatment from him. my own experience- well, my family member passed away and he immediately assumed i was lying and that it was an excuse for me to get covered at work. i had to show him proof (which consisted of numerous call logs, text messages, and a photo of my deceased family member in their deathbed) for him to even slightly believe me. it was only AFTER this that he said he would cover my shift. he furthermore called all the new employees incompetent behind our backs [i had discovered this through another coworker]. the best part about working here was that you can sit and making your own drinks though.

customer experience: YES, the reviews about the rude customer service are true. ive witnessed it myself while being trained here. some responses may be very blunt and have a descending tone to them. ordering is very simple. say the drink name, size, sugar level, ice level, and toppings. if you are entering while it is slow / no other customers, expect your drink to come out rushed and probably not the best it could be. this is because the workers want to get your order done with as soon as possible and get back to sitting down. please don't get a tea latte. they taste awful. it is literally tea and milk, whereas the actual "milk teas" are made with plant-based creamer and tea. any drink with brown sugar is a bit too sweet, i would recommend less (30%) or half (50%) sugar. taro drinks are pre-made with a powder, hit or miss depending on how well they stir the batch. if you're lactose intolerant or can't consume whole milk, any milk tea you order will be oat milk + that tea, which is a tea latte. which is genuinely an unpleasant taste, since as i said, its milk and tea. this is not the workers' fault, but literally a fault in the franchise's foul tasting recipe. if your boba is clumpy and hard to drink through, their boba has been left out for a long period, and there isn't much they can do about that besides making an entire new batch. the seating is clean, music is typically playing, and it serves as a nice area to study.

All of the Gongcha’s I have been to have been very wonderful experiences except for this one. The customer service was undeniably bad as many rolled theirs eyes at me as I waited to figure out my order like I was wasting their time. In addition, after the long wait that I had sit through for them to make my order, they gave me the wrong drink.

My recent experience at Gong Cha Malden was extremely disappointing.. The customer service lacked and the inattentiveness of the workers left me feeling unwelcome, and to make matters worse the boba tasted burnt! This combination of poor customer service and inadequate food quality made it one of the worst Gong Cha experiences i’ve ever had.
