Sorry to give it a two stars but last time I ordered from there. I asked repeatedly for fried chicken and black rice. When I got home and open up the bag, I see a container of chicken stew instead. The black rice is good but they gave me chicken stew tomatoes soup instead. The soup was too sour and tasted bland. If their cooking tasted like Sunrise in Somerville I would stop by at least once or twice a week for their foods.

My bf and I have been always wanting to try this place but just never made our way to it. I was craving white rice and around this time (coronavirus) nothing is open. Anyways we got food from there. I placed a pick up on the phone. The process was smooth but unprofessional. Meaning she made sure she got my order right but at the same time she was talking to a co worker in the background about my order and they were going back and fourth. Fast forward my bf was the one to pick up the order. What he told me when he got back in the car with our food was really unsettling to me. Especially being that my bf was white. It made him really uncomfortable. So while waiting for my food she told him step away and stand over there.... okay cool that's understandable with what's going on BUT at the same time put a sign or something for customers to know where to stand if you don't want them coming up to the counter due to the virus. Right? Common sense. Then she was making comments toward my bf like "you're staying clean I hope" and "I would hope you are cause this time around you gotta stay clean." (As if we don't know what the f*** is going on in the world right now) then when he signed the receipt she like swiped the pen really fast then wiped it down like girl you look f****** crazy calm the f*** down. I just want her to know she should worry about HERSELF and to stay the hell home if you're gonna be that condescending to people coming in for your business. STAY THE HELL CLOSED IF THATS GOING TO BE YOUR BEHAVIOR. It's disgusting and super unprofessional. BOUZIN SAL!!

So I grabbed a little bit of takeout I tried the chicken pate in what seems to be a flaky pastry like a croissant but very flaky I also tried the same with fish in side the fish was a little bit too strong for me but the chicken Tasted good I also got a guava juice which was obviously fresh squeezed and tasted fantastic for the small order I would definitely go back and get some fresh squeeze juice or possibly next time I'll eat in the restaurant to see how things go definitely a new taste for me

I saw the name of this restaurant in article about visiting Black Owned restaurants for the month of February. Going here was a 45 minute drive and it was worth every minute. I got the Hispaniola (a combination of Kreyol and Spanish/Dominican) to go and when I got home was happy to see it was enough food for a couple of servings. I've been in search of good griot in the Boston area since moving here almost 30 years ago and this one tasted just like when my grandmother or Aunt made it when I was is kid. The djon djon and pikliz (that looked like it was done with just red cabbage) were both really tasty too. The pernil on the Spanish side I personally prefer a little crispier but it was still divine. The Spanish rice was an arroz con gandules and the taste of the sofrito was fresh and present without being overpowering.

We heard great things about the infused pasta here from one of my girlfriend's students so we decided to give it a try. We ended up getting the pasta with chicken and shrimp to go. Holly titty slappin moly does that pasta have great flavor. A tiny bit spicy for all the light weights out there but for those who enjoy a cacophony of flavor I highly recommend it. They give you a large portion so it was more then enough for two people. We also got a chicken patty and some Spanish rice that were also very good. Great place can't wait to have it again.

I have never had such a tasty pulled pork, ever. Being raised in a family that kept pigs forever this means something.

Definitely one of the best Haitian restaurants in Massachusetts. Although it's small but it is pretty, classy, clean and very well decorated. The service is great well located with free parking options beside the bank. Located just in front of the road. Home delivery options also available.
