I had dinner at Ming’s Seafood tonight and I had the worst experience. The waitress there had a bad attitude and was very rude to the guests. I won't go to Ming's seafood in Malden anymore.

We came for the 10am Saturday dim sum. Got seated right away, but by the time we finished around 11am the place was packed. Everything was delicious and matched our expectation of a no frills dim sum experience. In addition to the typical dim sum dishes they also had some fancy options like the red rice shrimp rolls which was delicious and taste like rice roll, fried shrimp and youtiao in one perfect bite.

Not sure why they call these fried dumplings pot stickers. The skin is very thick. Please think twice before you order “pot stickers”.

Ming's seafood restaurant was just what we needed when we were in Boston. Just plain good Chinese food !!! :). The meal was excellent. It really reminded me of restaurants in Hong Kong.

It was a beautiful fall Sunday, and my sister and I decided to take our 91-year-old father out for dim sum at Ming’s Seafood Restaurant in Malden. My sister went to pick up our parents, while my husband and I arrived at the restaurant early to secure a table. At the time, there was only one party ahead of us.
Since my father has great difficulty walking, his leg is very weak and he cannot stand for long, I politely asked the hostess if we could be seated at a table closer to the door to minimize his walking. She ignored my request and simply responded, “Tell me when everyone is here.”
As we waited, several groups who arrived after us were seated at tables closer to the entrance. My request was completely disregarded. I approached the hostess a second time, hoping to explain again, but she impatiently repeated, “Tell me when everyone is here,” in a dismissive tone.
When my parents finally arrived, there was no table available. We had to find a chair for my father to sit while waiting. Instead of offering any help, the hostess rudely told us, “You need to move so other people can walk.”
We have been coming to this restaurant for many years, this staff has always been kind of rude. Her attitude towards customers was upsetting and completely lacking in basic courtesy and empathy, especially considering our father’s age and mobility challenges. Sadly, this experience has left a very negative impression. We will not be returning to this restaurant again.
I have dined at Ming’s Seafood a couple of times, but yesterday I had the worst experience by far. We arrived around 10 AM when the restaurant wasn’t busy. However, the waiter was very rude and bumped into my chair at least ten times, despite my efforts to adjust my seating. They continued to push my chair with their carts, which was quite frustrating.
Additionally, the food was not good. It used to be acceptable, but the ingredients didn’t taste fresh at all. We also ordered the minion egg custard bun, which was a complete disappointment. Instead of what was advertised in the menu photo, we received a bun topped with seaweed. It didn’t resemble the dish at all. When we asked why the bun didn't look the same, they simply said the cook didn't have time to decorate it. Overall, it was truly disappointing.

This could be our new go to Dim Sum place. We went on a Sat at 11am but didn’t have to wait long. No push cart just ordering off the menu but sometimes this is easier, especially when you don’t speak Mandarin. All the food seemed fresh and not previously frozen. Will definitely be back.

My general impression was positive overall. First they served loose leaf green tea in porcelain tea pot and cup. I ordered something I hadn’t tried before (white fish with some green vegetables). I asked the name of the vegetable but the waiter didn’t speak any English, I think, so didn’t understand probably. It looked like Bok choy but I wasn’t sure if it was. The plate was huge and filled up to top with a very generous serving of food. The food had a little taste to it but compared to the food I eat lacked spices and oil, but I think it is healthy food. I could only eat half of it and took home the remaining food ate the next day. The price for such amount was good! The tables were clean and the employees were friendly.

I have been to a lot of Chinese restaurants in Boston but this one is the best so far at a very affordable price. Crispy calamari is the best dish I've tried here.
