Saigon NV is one of my go-to's. I have brought multiple friends and family to Saigon. Their food is delicious. The Service can be a bit slow and you may need to go to the counter to check out but it makes sense, they only have a few staff and they are very busy. I have been going here for 8+ years and they keep improving. I have tried over 30+ Vietnamese restaurants around New England and I will always come back to Saigon NV.

Great Vietnamese food at an affordable price! The Phở Dặc Biệt is excellent, highly recommend it. The Vietnamese coffee is really nice as well. If you like tendon however try to find a bit earlier as they may start to run low as service goes on.The service itself is decent, yet sometimes can be a bit slow. The atmosphere is also nice, and the place is quite convenient, just a short walk from Malden Center station.

This is my partner's favorite Vietnamese restaurant for pho in Malden. The only complaint is that if you order takeout/pickup, it'll never be on time. It's a very busy restaurant. Pickup at 730? Just get there at 745 or 750. If you go on time, you'll have to wait anyways. Still worth going there though.

This is a very small restaurant so seating is limited.Where i found lacking, was the service and the seating arrangements.I get we were there on a busy sunday night. But for Pho i felt like it took way too long.It was almost 45 mins. With hungry kids it was a little annoying...The other part was the way the door opens to the tables. I was very unconfortable cold during the time we went. The food itself was pretty good. The price was fair. But wasnt a WOW experience overall.Would still recommend to satisfy a PHO craving if in the area.

Surprisingly underwhelming experience.I went here because I heard it was one of the best Viet restaurants in Malden. My party ordered their pho dac biet, bun rieu, chanh da, and soda chanh. The pho was average - the noodles are standard, meat tender, and the broth flavor was mild but a bit too fatty. Compared to the pho in other places like Dorchester or Quincy, it’s below average. The bun rieu was also okay but tedious to eat. The broth was also mild but definitely taste like bun rieu and the protein was fine (the meatballs were tender and tasty). The noodles were the most difficult to eat because they were so comically short. I’ve never had vermicelli be 1-4 inches long. Even though I switched to just scooping the noodles with my spoon, it was still time consuming which took away from the overall experience. The drinks were fine, but I wouldn’t go out of my way to get them.Service was typical of a Viet restaurant.Even though my experience was underwhelming, it taste like an average/below average experience in the Greater Boston area. There are some objectively bad Viet options in the Greater Boston area.Overall if you need to get your Viet fix, this is an okay option if you live around the area. But if you live in Boston, just go to Dorchester or Quincy.

Rating: 4/5 Stars Alright, so Saigon NV definitely gives you a taste of Vietnam right here in Boston. As a Vietnamese native, I gotta say, they're keeping it real with their dishes. Now, let's talk about the Pho and spring rolls. They were decent, but I was kinda hoping for that extra punch of flavor, you know? They needed a little something extra to make them stand out. But hold up, their Bun Bo Hue? That's where they shine. It's like a trip back to the streets of Vietnam with those pork blood cubes and pork hock. Authenticity level? Pretty darn high. However, the broth could use a bit more sweetness, and those noodles were a tad too firm for my liking. Oh, and where's the shredded cabbage or lettuce on the side? That's a must for that authentic touch. As for the vibe, yeah, it's not fancy. It's more like walking into your grandma's kitchen - cozy and a bit worn, but that just adds to the whole experience. Overall, Saigon NV hits the spot if you're craving some legit Vietnamese grub. Sure, they've got a few tweaks to make, but I'd definitely swing by again for another taste of home. --------------------- My Star Rating Scale: 5 Stars: Blew my mind, had a wow factor, will come back 4 Stars: I liked it but didn't love it, no wow factor, will still come back 3 Stars: It was okay, I didn't hate it but didn't like it either; would not voluntarily come back 2 Stars: I did not like it, I would not come back 1 Star: Absolutely hated it, I would not come back here

My partner and I LOVED the food here!! We got the banh xeo (pictured), bun bo hue, and the grilled pork chop com dia (rice plate). It seems to get busy in the evening with takeout orders (we got there at like 5:30-6pm on a weekday and had to wait a bit). Everything was of great quality and we’d definitely come back again. This was the best Viet food we’ve had in the Malden area!!

New owner is very nice but the changed the recipes of all things I loved! Example:Chicken noodle soup no longer has beef bones in broth so it lost all its flavor! They changed their peanut sauce which use to be good? I have had many dishes there in the years past but they have changed! Good Luck to the new owners!!!
