I have never had an experience as terrible as I did today at the Van n Mac truck near Trillium at the Greenway. The man working the window at the truck was completely belligerent. After telling us to order online, my buddy tried to clarify that pick up was possible there given the app directed us to an address in Malden (not downtown Boston). The guy quickly jumped back that he had no time for questions. While my friend decided that was too rude & just wasn’t going to order food, I was starving so decided to let it go and order anyway. The app noted that my order would be ready in 40 min, but after about 15 min, my husband heard my name called. When I went to the window, and heard another name called similar to mine, I asked for clarification if it was indeed my name that I heard. He immediately started yelling, telling me that, yes, he’d not only called my name, but had done so 7 times. When I tried to respond, he cut me off, aggressively told me that I’d interrupted him & demanded that I let him finish. They had run out of something that we’d ordered & wanted to know how to replace it. (During this extremely uncomfortable exchange, he had handed me a quesadilla that I’d ordered for my daughter.) Before I could even respond, he then yelled, “Or, I could just cancel your order.” Extremely flustered, I said, “Yes, Cancel it”, at which point he grabbed the quesadilla back out of my hands. Since he was clearly not rationale enough to have a discussion with, we spoke to the Trillium folks who were gracious enough to offer us 2 free beers & agreed to talk to the food truck folks. I will never order from Vaz n Mac again, as I have genuinely never in my 40 years been treated that way.

Absolutely incredible tacos, loaded with meat. I got the taco trio with a crispy fried fish, chicken, and carnitas taco, all 3 amazing. Their food truck had a great setup right in seaport Boston. I’ll definitely be back!!

The staff at the food truck is friendly (specially Rudy!) and the food is good, but I wish they would warm up the tortillas (maybe I can ask next time?). Other than that, food came out fast and tasted pretty good!
Great food, friendly service!
My company had Vaz and Mac cater our company summer outing (happy hour at Trillium on the Greenway) and Ruddy Bello was wonderful to work with!
The food = amazing! So fresh! Everyone raved about the guacomole and pico de gallo. We did a taco and nacho bar and the different meats were SO FRESH AND DELICIOUS! Everyone enjoyed the food so much, and Ruddy had everything we needed from start to finish (including leftovers)
Thank you for your delicious food and professionalism.

GOOD GOLLY I just had a carnitas quesadilla and I am so happy. The pork is so juicy with the perfect amount of spice and fat and it’s crisped up to perfection. It comes with guac which you don’t get that often these days lol. I also got some churros and they slap, so try those, too. The meal was 10/10, but the gentleman running the truck, Ruddy, is 12/10!

I had chicken tinga tacos from this food truck while enjoying Long Live Brewery. Some of the best chicken tinga tacos I’ve ever had. Perfectly spicy and delicious.

Ruddy and his team served at my wedding last month and their cooking and service could not have been better. Our friends and family are still talking about their tacos! Thank you guys again- see you soon!

Terrible customer service. We placed our order with special instructions and paid. The customers in front of us ordered something different, but their food was ready at the same time my friend and I were paying for our order. The chef offered my friend another customer’s meal while waiting for our order because they never came back for their food. When he called our order and attempted to collect our paid order, he refused due to having gave us another order; my friend mentioned that’s not what we ordered, then the chef began arguing with my friend. The chef was loud, disrespectful, and unpleasant. All in all, we were there to support a fundraiser event. As a result, he took back the previous meal he offered, gave my friend a refund, and never gave us the food we ordered. What should have been a great experience turned out to be terrible, unfriendly, and demeaning at best.
Tried Vaz + Mac Tex-Mex for the first time at Open Streets Boston in Jamaica Plain and my wife and I are instantly hooked. Absolutely delicious!
This was our first stop in Boston for lunch after traveling into the city. Not only was the food some of the best street tacos I’ve had, the cook was the nicest person. He was so genuine and was very accommodating to GF/DF. He and the food was the a bright spot as we started our time in Boston! We ate our delicious tacos too quickly to take a picture. But we got beef and potato and the chicken tinga and they were SO good! Not bad to eat overlooking Boston Commons either.
Amazing vegan tacos from the food truck, can’t wait to go back!
