We have been coming to Cibo for almost 15 years. Over the past couple of years, the food quality has declined. Service is always fantastic and the restaurant still captures good energy for a good time. But here is the but... We dined for lunch yesterday. Started with Caesar salad and bread. Within the past couple of years, they started charging for bread. It was always a nice touch that distinguished them for other restaurants-the bread basket with small condiment plate of salt, peppers and cheese , but we understand costs. But why is the bread tasteless and dry? Before we would get a variety of a couple different types of bread. This time, it was leftover focaccia warmed up a bit. This bread would be their croutons they served in our salad. Salad was fresh and dressing home made. That was good. Entrees were the special brisket sandwhich. We know...we should not have ordered brisket from an Italian restaurant. The description lured my husband in, but what came out was meat cooked in some way that it cut like a meatball. The relish was sour. Only good thing on plate were the fries. I ordered the fried eggplant and spinach pizza, add sausage, extra crispy. Never had it before, and will not again. Crust not sticky, and too much soggy spinach weighed it down. Fried eggplant were thin strips of eggplant, tasteless and wet from the spinach. Sausage read good. The past several visits, each trying some ‘standards' over the years have become sheer misses. Cibo please revisit your meghods and taste the dishes that you are serving. For the cost we are paying, you should be serving better quality meals.

Everything from the hostess, to server, to food and cocktails were great! One of my favorite neighborhood restaurants. Cant wait to be back. The pear and peach salad special was PHENOMENAL and I think it should be a permanent summer menu item :)

Love this place! Sat outside on a gorgeous evening! Waitress was hustling and very friendly! Husband the halibut special and I had the warm spinach salad with grilled chicken! Both absolutely delicious! Would highly recommend... we will be back again!

The experience was perfect from start to finish! Reservations were very easy to make. We were seated on time on a very busy night. Service was excellent. Food and drinks were delicious! We had a great time, enjoyed the perfect weather out on the patio!

Everyone found their meals delicious. The Caesar salad was perfect. Just the right amount of dressing and the croutons were delicious! I had the shrimp scampi special. While there were a lot of shrimp they were kind of tough and the angel hair pasta was kind of gummy. But the sauce and tomatoes were good.

Fabulous food and service. Beet salad was probably the best salad I have ever had. The two pizzas were fantastic as well. Our waitress was really good and very pleasant. A very good dining experience. I would highly recommend!

It’s been a few years since we have eaten in the restaurant. We have ordered pizza. However, today we went to lunch. We were very disappointed! They now charge for bread…really! The risotto I ordered was not just aldente but raw! Very disappointed! There were also little black bugs flying around. Overpriced as well!
We have never had anything but fantastic food and service at Cibo Matto. We recently moved about 45 minutes away but were craving the great experience so we made the trek and it was so worth it.

Could only book outside searing although there were plenty of empty seats inside. Temperature outside was a bit cold and they didn't wish to put the outside heaters on. My wife had to wear her coat throughout the meal She was not happy

Good food, freshly prepared, some pricey dishes have small portions. Bit of price gouging, like $24 for Mac n Cheese! What? Although it is outstanding. Beware they charge extra for a mundane small bread basket that they dont tell you isn't free. Be prepared for a noisy drinking crowd, day or night. Alcoholic beverages seem to be a focus of the place, like some chi chi big city cafes. I'd go back but be more selective on ordering. Sauce is really nice & hard to find these days.
