After doing a lot of work around the house on Saturday we all decided to go out for dinner. Decided to try Liv. This was our first time trying the restaurant. Basically, food was good. Cocktails need work. Atmosphere was nice. Service was great.
We ordered the charcuterie board as we sat down. Good but it was a bit on the pricey side for what we got.
Drinks were subpar. Coconut margarita was ALL lime juice and just a hint of coconut and couldn’t taste the tequila. The pride day drink special was missing something which we couldn’t put our finger on.
For dinner we ordered fish and chips. Good except the fish was thin and dry. Fries were good.
The buffalo spaghetti squash Mac and cheese tasted good but presented as a plate of orangey brown pile of slop. We took most of it home. Yesterday I put it in a pie crust, mixed in a simple egg custard, covered it with cheese and baked it. It turned out delicious!! My suggestion would be to work on the presentation of this dish. Serve it in a crock or bowl with melted cheese on top or in a simple pie crust. The last thing we ordered was the veggie wrap. It was simple but delicious.
Will we return? Of course. We will try it again.

Great potential! Love the creativity - I had squash Mac and cheese which was delicious but the presentation was very unappetizing. Easy solution, a nice bowl under the broiler or a skillet.
The service was rushed and I was given a box within minutes of being served. So I took it home and put it in a pie shell with cheese to bake and voila - beautifully delicious!
Also, all three cocktails our table got were nearly undrinkable especially the coconut margarita (it tasted like 95% lime juice).
I really wanted for this to become my new go to for a creative dinner on the South Shore, but it is not quite there yet (more appetizing presentation and better drinks) – maybe when I visit again later this summer it will be!

Best drinks and bartenders
Lovely atmosphere quiet and quaint
My husband and I recently dined here for our first time. We were celebrating his birthday and we are so glad we picked Liv! I loved the spicy raspberry rita. We had the General Tso's calamari, brussel sprouts, buffalo chicken meatballs, and roasted garlic shrmip. Service was excellent, drinks were delicious, and the food was fabulous. We will definitely be back soon!
Really great food and drinks, will go again
Great food @ a hidden gem. You can't go wrong here and they just added Sunday Brunch. Warm olives are my wife's favorite and I love the Creme Brulee french toast Benedict with house made corn beef hash! Our waitress Candace is the best!
Subpar food and subpar service.
Food all tasted of one thing.
Hot Honey Chicken Flatbread tasted of nothing but heat. The table next to us said the same thing.
Asian Fusion Cuban Reuben was mushy and bland. No taste stood out yet there were so many nice sounding toppings.
General Tso Calamari we could only taste the sauce. It covered all other flavors.
Maybe we ordered wrong and you need to get simple items? I saw the largest bowl of nachos and some kids got a burger that looked good.
Disappointing as it seemed like a great concept.
My wife and I came here for Valentine's Day on a last minute reservation, luckily we were able to get one on a busy night for restaurants. The service was very attentive all night and we never had to wait for anything. Liv offers an impressive selection of organic/biodynamic wines, which was a plus for us. Our appetizers came out shortly after ordering. We started with the bread and oil, it was very good. We moved onto the highlight of the night in the Brussel Sprouts appetizer, which consisted of a goat cheese in a lemon vinaigrette and crispy prosciutto on top, definitely a nice 'creative' touch, all the flavors worked well together. I will say, however, the entrees felt pretty basic (flank steak + lobster ravioli) respectively. My wife and I shared each entree and while they were both very good- it was nothing out of the ordinary and just tasted generic but I supposed the benefit is that it is farm to table so you know the food is clean and free of oils or additives. Perhaps I will need to come back and try other options on the menu as there are some intriguing things on the menu that have the creative aspect to them.
Food and drinks are always delicious!

We have been dining here regularly since we moved to Marshfield last year. Great food and service!
Interesting menu and interesting staff make this a winner
We went to Liv because my daughter has a gluten allergy. Nice little hidden gem.
The food was excellent and our server was great.
No need to be gluten free to go to Liv but my daughter was very confident that it was safe.
Me? I just really loved the food and the atmosphere.
Highly recommended.

We had lunch outside. The crab cakes were excellent and the remoulade sauce was amazing. The burrata dish was also excellent and the pesto was superb. Next time I’m getting the fish and chips with remoulade that the waitress said is a favorite.
