Nice quiet place Service is slow but that is the way they have always done it I think it's about getting people to relax Just be aware Food good! Haddock was great

We ate at the Fairview last night. It was great. My husband had scallops and I had the short ribs. Food was delicious, price was so reasonable and waitress and service was great. We are coming back soon.

It started great, but went bad quickly and never got better. First was ordering drinks, a margarita for me and a martini for my spouse, my drink comes first with no salt on the rim, not a problem but then her martini arrives with salt on the rim. First issue drinks should have come together but ok. Point the salt issue out to the server and the response is “I can get you another glass and put the drink into that” that's unacceptable. Appetizers were fine streamers and shrimp. Entree took over thirty minutes to finally make it to our table, which on a busy night can be understandable but there were several empty tables near us so couldn't be backed up. Then my meal I order lobster Mac and cheese, they used cavatappi instead of macaroni but again ok, they failed to use cheese and the pasta wasn't drained privately so my meal sat in a watery mess, couldn't eat it and when I mention my issues the response was “so you don't need a to go box?”. Absolutely no concern for our issues. Will never give them any business again. Usually places get a second chance but this was bad. There was nothing gif that happened and we were not checked on once, our only interaction was to give orders and receive food. I had to go and get the server to register my complaints because she wasn't coming to check any time soon.

Had dinner with my niece, and it was wonderful. Paula waited on us. She was pleasant and efficient. We had salmon and haddock and the food was delicious! We will definitely be back!!

We made dinner reservations for 6:30pm on July 19th for a party of 4. We were seated right away. It took 30 minutes to get water and another 15 minutes get served our cocktails. When the waitress delivered our cocktails after being seated for 45 minutes, I asked how long our meals would take if we order now. She went to check with the kitchen and returned after 10 minutes to tell us another hour to be served dinner. We cashed out and left. Being busy and understaffed happens sometimes, but they were paralyzed last night. Where was the management to take control. I won't try them again. That was embarrassing.

Waitress was not friendly or attentive and extremely slow. No greeting and came by the table rarely to bring food or drinks or clear the table. They need busboys to clear table and refill water. We were there over 2 1/2 hours. Food and atmosphere excellent.

The grille At Fairview has become my favorite summer go restaurant Especially for outdoor dining We met family members 2 consecutive days lunch then dinner the following evening It just so happened we had Delaney as our server each time! She is wonderful, kind and efficient

Come here for the value for the good food. The service was friendly but my salad came before my glass of wine by a server from the kitchen. The bar was backed up so the restaurant needs to work on that for a better dining experience.

Outstanding once again! This chef is amazing...We started with the Seafood Cocktail (shrimp, oysters and crab legs) which may have been a new item on the menu. So good and needs to be a keeper! Steak tips, pork chop and short ribs were delicious as were our salads especially the Apple walnut! The Fairview never disappoints...great service from the time you walk in the door until you leave. This restaurant is a real gem and we're so lucky to have it in Marshfield! Absolutely love the Fairview and can't wait until it warms up to enjoy outdoor dining with the water view!
Very good experience. The only negative was the ceiling fans in the dinning room area were on "Hi" and its was cold! We were told they could not be altered.

We had a 6:30pm reservation and we all ordered the fish. At 8pm one of us was still waiting for our meal. We asked for the manager because of the delay. The waitress asked if we still want the meal. We said of course but did not expect to pay for it. She came back and said they would not comp the meal and asked if we still wanted it. Still waiting for the manager my fried you did not get the meal went to the host station and asked for the manager again. She came back and said there was no manager and the owner was cooking the food. Finally the lead waitress listened to our story and said of course the meal would be comped and they would send a free desert for the table. She also stated the waitress was new and overwhelmed.

The food was lovely little cold near the windows and they should have candles or fake lights on the table very dark, but overall becoming his little great place
