Simple breakfast food done perfectly. Would have gotten 5 stars across the board if the staff had acknowledged my wife while she waited for the staff stop talking to one another. Otherwise the Picnic Box was awesome!
Do not walk ... RUN!!! to the Picnic Box. Amazing food, great staff and also great customers. This was one of my coworkers favorite establishments. We stop frequently because of work. I was incredibly impressed. That chicken cordon Bleu sandwich, the roast beef, Cole slaw and potatoes salad all were amazing. Cookies and brownies were also amazing. Picnic box is a super attenuated diner serving great food!
However, and this is a big caveat, I had bacon, eggs and hash browns with milk and it cost me $17 before tip.
I do not begrudge the fact that they have large overhead costs being out on the cape but, The prices seemed excessive, even for the cape, even in our post-pandemic world.
This is not a blame thing. Just an observation.
