My wife and I had wanted to try a Sunday breakfast at Picnic Box for a while. She had a standard Eggs Benedict with an orange juice, I had scrambled eggs with hash, and coffee. My wife liked her Bennie and OJ, my serving tasted very salty, and the coffee was very weak and tasteless. The waitress was helpful, personal and friendly. The atmosphere was somewhat noisy and boomy due to the hard surfaces and acoustics. There was no itemized receipt at the end, just a handwritten note...
if you want to know the real vibe of this joint, walk in and ask do you do you serve good coffee. This is a great opener for the fun relationship with server. tell them Ed Liz and skunky sent you.
Simple breakfast food done perfectly. Would have gotten 5 stars across the board if the staff had acknowledged my wife while she waited for the staff stop talking to one another. Otherwise the Picnic Box was awesome!
