Polar Cave Ice Cream Parlour

The other night, we went on a peak time 8:30pm ice cream run and every single ice cream spot had huge lines! We just kept driving… LOL. Eventually, we found ourselves all the way in Mashpee at Polar Cave Ice Cream Parlour. They had a long line too, but at that point, if I kept driving, we would’ve run out of gas So we waited in line and let me tell you, it was SO worth it. They make the waffle cones to order, and the smell alone was enough to pull you in. Not only were the prices surprisingly reasonable, but what really stood out was the service. The gentleman taking our order had the kind of smile you don’t see often anymore—genuine, warm, and welcoming. The whole place had these nostalgic Coca-Cola throwback vibes, and it just felt like a full-on experience, not just a quick dessert stop. My daughter said, “I hope customers feel this way when I serve them.” 🩷 And my husband got a banana split that was absolutely to die for and only $11! 🐻‍❄️

Outstanding! Fresh made waffle cones, while you wait! And a spectacular variety of ice cream or frozen yogurt to accommodate almost any taste. We are so glad to find the polar cave, even on a cool April evening.

Editing to respond to owner. I was there over the summer and did not like the ice cream or the atmosphere/cleanliness. I could go into more but would be attacked. As a customer we have the right to provide our feedback. I did not get into specifics originally because after seeing owners response to others, suspected this would happen. Calling your customers keyboard warriors not great customer service and not constructive.

Amazing ice cream with a made to order waffle bowl. Lots of interesting, as well as standard, flavors. Friendly service.
The only slight issue we encountered was a long wait in a hot room, as there's no air-conditioning. But hey, you get a cool ice cream that was absolutely worth the wait!

There's always a massive line out the door, and for good reason. They make their own waffle cones and the ice cream is amazing. The best part is the atmosphere. The walls are packed with vintage coca-cola decor, and when I say packed I mean packed. You could spend hours in there just looking at all the wall decorations. This spot is a must-visit if you're taking a trip to the Cape.

I dont get this place. I wanted to like it because of the great reviews. We waited in line 30 minutes, not a problem as long as the product is worth it. Hint: It wasn’t. The ice cream isnt great, tastes more ice than cream, as in all the good milk fat (the expensive part of making ice cream) is not in it. The made-to-order cones looked like they would be amazing but they are just scooped from tubs of highly processed pre made batter and they just taste like fake synthetic sugar.

If you go down the cape and don't go to Polar Cave- you made a mistake! This ice cream place is a MUST! They have so many different flavors for everyone in your party AND they have the BEST waffle cones. They make your waffle cone right in front of you and it is so warm and slightly chewy. The last bite of the cone is A+++. I love this place and you will too:)

Polar Cave Ice-cream Parlour is the best. I searched long and hard for a place that didn't just have black raspberry chip frozen yogurt, but black raspberry chip ice cream too. My family vacation dreams came true when I found this place on Google. To my waffle cone loving surprise, they had waffle cone bowls too! Honestly, I couldn't tell you what was better, the warm, freshly made waffle bowl or the ice cream inside of it that wasn't melting all over me cause it was a bowl! My husband got the Mashpee Mud sundae, which was equally amazing & our kids loved their ice-creams. Now a family favorite, we will be going at least once, if not more, on our annual trips to the Cape.
