The Club at New Seabury’s Popponesset Inn

If you are looking for stunning ocean views and atmosphere, the restaurant is on point for that. As well as for service. Our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food however was disappointing. My husband ordered the filet sole, which was so strongly breaded, it literally looked like pancakes. My empanadas although flavorful were not heated all the way through. I was excited to get a lobster roll up until it arrived and realized it was cold. My fault, I should have asked. Overall, I would go back for the beautiful views.

Had a fantastic time dining out at the Popponesset Inn. The grilled peach salad and baked stuffed lobster were fantastic. The view was amazing and our server was kind, knowledgeable and attentive. It had an Olde Cape Cod feeling that is getting harder to find these days. Fabulous!

The location and food were were excellent. However, two things took away from the overall experience. The first was that it took FOREVER for the main course to be service. There was about 45 minutes that went by between the time we finished our appetizers and the main course was served. The other issue was the noise level. It was a very noisy restaurant and it was hard to have a conversation with the other people at the table.

We were a party of 5 and were quickly greeted and sat at a beautiful table overlooking the water Our serving team was attentive and thoughtful. Meals came out exactly as we requested. Awesome night with friends , awesome night at Popponesset Inn!!!!

It's a beautiful place that's right on the water, beach. The drinks were cold and the food was good. The wait staff were wonderful and kept everything coming.

We had a great dinner with a fantastic view. Service was top notch....and our dinners were excellent! The only complaint I have is that they aren't open all year around! Go soon before they close for the season!

The Inn is much more casual on the inside than it seems from the outside (in a good way). Lots of tables have an ocean view. There were 2 rooms open for dinner. Ours was not full but it was still noisy enough yo make conversation a challenge. We shared the scallop casserole which was fabulous. A generous portion of scallops in a nice light cheese sauce. We also shared the swordfish on lobster risotto. The risotto was loaded with large chunks of actual lobster. Great! The swordfish hit mixed reviews. My husband thought it was great. I didn't care for the consistency but it might have been a matter of personal taste. In any case, The portion was generous. We passed on dessert although it looked good but 3 of the 4 items sounded very similar so not inspired. The menu was quite nice and had lots of options. The service was excellent . I'd try it again and check out other menu items.

Service was great the waitress was friendly and attentive. the food was very good and reasonably priced. You can't beat the view of the ocean as you eat dinner. It was my wife's birthday so they brought over an ice cream dessert complete with candle and a happy birthday song. The hostess also came by to see if everything was ok.

Great food, service and facilities! Close to the beach!

Our meal and the service was excellent! We ordered the veal parmesan, grilled swordfish, sole, seafood casserole and cod. The restaurant and bar were crowded so we were glad we made a reservation. We will definitely go back!
