I placed an online order with the option to pay cash inside, which is the option that I chose. I waited several hours for someone to confirm the order. To my surprise, it never happened. The order was canceled . I live over 45 minutes away from this establishment, so I wanted to confirm before heading to the restaurant. Unfortunately, this place is too unprofessional to Confirm orders, so customers will know The order has been received by management. So much for supporting a Old neighborhood business.

Ordered online, received the wrong order completely. The number is not working to call and tell them to get a new delivery guy.

Super delicious! I moved and wish this place moved with me. Dynamic flavors and huge portions.Tiny indoor eating and ordering space, so it's probably best to take it to go. Prompt service. Faves: -the sauce!! I would drink it-pulled pork-bbq chicken-greens-corn bread-potato salad

A local legend and one you can't miss while driving by. Open late which is appreciated. Ordered at the counter, very cramped inside and definitely take out only. Parking lot had a few people meandering but no one ordering. Food took a while and left a lot to be desired. Beef sausage was dry and pulled pork was not only soaked with sauce but tough. Sides were unremarkable and worth skipping. For local BBQ I'd look elsewhere.

This is the beef ribs. I ordered candied yams as well; they were "rooty" and tasted like cinnamon more like a Malta drink without sugar. I DO NOT RECOMMEND.... Zero stars.. I wouldn't even give my dog this eat.

Takeout joint that I've been going to for many years when I have a hankering for soul food/bbq. Smoked BBQ chicken, dry rub ribs, and brisket on Fridays. Usually order the beans, mac, greens and/or slaw for sides--and sweet potato pie. Both sweet and hot sauces are my favorite sauce anywhere, with a preference for the hot. Service at the counter can be a little disorganized, but just had a beautiful 1/2 chicken dinner delivered very quickly on a Saturday night. Very flavorful smoky chicken, not too salty or dried out as some bbq chicken can be. Out of many meals I had 1 chicken be a little dry, but that was only once. My favorite bbq in Boston. Much prefer it to Blue Ribbon.

This is not the pit stop of old. They changed the sauce. They no longer smoke their ribs.(they pit cook all of their meats but don't smoke them) The customer service is pis poor, the food isn't as tasty as I remember. The portions are okay the pricing is good. I would say if you're in the neighborhood around 10:00-11:30pm and you want some bbq pit stop was a good choice (just don't expect great bbq) I will not return to this place unless changes for the good are made

Years ago I would've recommended this "Family owned " spot but I was disappointed with everything, my grandkids didn't want it and they don't refuse food. Sadly the ribs were overcooked, and the potatoes in the salad were minced, the yams were interesting can't describe them. Even the cornbread wasn't good very dry. I will never spend my hard-earned money there. And you shouldn't either

I first was introduced to the PIT STOP in the mid nineties. I have eaten a lot of different restaurants which have barbecue on the menu.I find that the PIT STOP is the best. Now with online ordering capability, which makes it easier to place your order. I used this feature twice. Each time my order was ready when promise. They give you a lot for your money. Outstanding Customer Service!

There was a fly in my greens. Oh! It was so horrible. I almost ate it. Please stay away.

I don't know if he was in a bad mood or what ‍‍ cause all I wanted was some Corn Bread from the the center and he kept saying do want corn bread or what, do you want corn bead or not ( very rudely) so my taste for the ribs went out the door with me! And I ALWAYS spend at least $60 to $70 at a time!! Not anymore!!

The chicken has a great flavor. BBQ sauce is really good. Greens and rice were good too. First time there, but I'll be back. Don't plan on being in a hurry though. They move at their own pace, but that's ok. Just kinda how it is here.

Not for nothing I love that place because it used to be the Banger back in the day but... I want a few days ago I got beef ribs and pork ribs collard greens and the yams.. The yams were excellent... The collard greens honestly tasted like fish and smell like fish. It was cold even though I waited 30 minutes outside, the beef ribs made me think that I was going to lose my cheats for Real no offense to the place.. The portraits were good but it just seemed like they were made the day before and all they did was just throw them inside of container for me. I would rate this place 0 but you can't
