Go for: Well-executed breakfast and brunch-type food in a bustling setting (especially for a small town).

Avoid if: You're in a hurry or have other stuff to take care of that day.

Something surprising: The place had a line going out the front door consistently on a cloudy Sunday afternoon.

Reservation needed? Yes, but not sure they take them (they wrote customer waitlist names down on what appeared to be a server check pad).

Overall . Overall, the food was pretty good...it just took literally two hours from parking until the time the bill was paid, which was excruciating. There's very little parking and no covered space to wait outside for a table (and you will most likely wait on the weekends). While we waited quite a while for each progression of our service, the staff was pleasant and the orders were accurate.

First time and it was a real treat. Nothing like it in Mattapoisett. My partner and I sat at the bar and thoroughly enjoyed the kind bartendress, creative cocktails, spicy shrimp app, scallops and salmon dinners, and two dessert. With a bottle of wine and glasses of prosecco and still under $100 per person. The salmon was a real stand out with unique ancho and orange flavors over creamy risotto. We built a fun rapport with the cooks who were on the other side of the bar. Just a great place!

We are on a boat for the summer and have been to Mattapoisett before but not out to dinner… saw Tastebuds on Google maps and looked good… we were not disappointed! Charming, lovely atmosphere! Wait staff attentive! Food was fabulous! There was 4 of us and we all had something different! Everyone was happy! We are heading north but will definitely stop on our way back! Thank you!

This is officially our new favorite brunch spot! Food and service are truly amazing! Scott was our server this past weekend, and he made us feel like we’d been coming here for years. We got the zucchini fritter Benedict, a Belgium waffle with fresh berries and a breakfast burrito with sausage, home fries and fresh pico de gallo. The menu had a nice selection of Benedicts - We can’t wait to go back and try them all! The zucchini fritter and crispy prosciutto complimented each other perfectly, and inspired us to crisp up our own prosciutto. What a creative twist on an old classic! The waffle had the perfect amount of sweetness and the variety of fresh berries (blueberries, blackberries, raspberries, strawberries) was a nice addition that gave it a little tartness. They added roasted red peppers to the breakfast burrito which really made it stand out, and we loved the fresh pico! The restaurant also has a full bar and lots of specialty brunch drinks. There is high-top seating at the bar area, as well as tables throughout the restaurant. We did not have to wait this past Sunday when we arrived at noon, but we were told it does get busy on the weekends, so there could be wait times. Prices were reasonable, which is rare nowadays, and the portions were generous. The quality and creativity of the dishes absolutely blew us away. This place is truly special! Open until 2pm on Sundays, definitely check them out! Cheers and enjoy!

This spot maybe was a house originally. The sign is very small. The inside is quite plain and sets a not so exciting tone. But, let me tell you, the food and is service is impeccable. I got the steak risotto. The steak was out of this world tender and I ordered it medium well. My husband got the chicken parm that was not overwhelmed with a plate full of pasta. The chicken was crisp and the sauce had a hint of vodka. Excellent hidden gem:

Good menu options, very cute inside. My husband and I both had the fried tomato and egg sandwich and omg, best breakfast sandwich of my whole life! Can’t wait to come back and try more of the menu.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free bread and having Celiac disease knowing I could eat here was great

We were set up in a perfect side room and our server Heather was wonderful…attentive yet let us have a relaxed wonderful evening. Food was outstanding-all 8 of us enjoyed our meal.
