My husband and I moved to Maynard in 2023. We were looking for a cute place in town to get a cocktail and came across Azucar and we have been repeat customers ever since. One of the reasons for that is Rico. Rico jokes that he “loves love,” but he truly makes every drink, attends to each table, hosts, even cooks, with so much love, care, and compassion. He has also become an incredible friend, and while we are sad he’s no longer here (he’s not dead, he went home to Mexico),...

Great place for fun dining. If you have a group of 10 or under, ask about the back room for ultra casual dining away from the crowd. We squeezed 11 in the back room and still had fun. Everything was delicious. The drinks and mock tails were great. Matt was a good host. Many of the locals in our group said they would be coming back.

Really wanted this to be better. The food was pretty bland, though the options on the menu were appealing. The service was excellent. Has outdoor street-side seating in downtown Maynard. The entrance was a bit in need of repair, but the bar looked well-stocked inside.
