The Heirloom Tomato tasting menu was AMAZING!! Chef Vittorio outdid himself with this one.

Food was amazing as usual, service was impeccable, and the drinks were outstanding. It was rather loud so hard to hear conversation. But that's just a measure of who was in the restaurant last night... It won't stop us from coming back!

Amazing food. Great service and the BEST olive oil martini! this is in my top 5 restaurants.

Opentable Diner

This was a truly outstanding experience. The food, team and atmosphere are typically excellent but this was next level. It was our daughter's 10th birthday and Vittorio and our server, Dorothy, made it such a special experience for her. Our thanks to all in the kitchen - especially the pastry chef - and the front of house team! Mark and family.

The Italian style wine pairing dinner was tremendous. Creative dishes perfectly done and paired with interesting, high quality wines. Lots of fun seating in groups. Couldn't have been better.

Dependably delish. The cocktails are reasonably priced, the apps the same. Wish they'd have more specials. Don't miss $2 oysters on Tues.

Perfect evening Out for dine out Boston. It is really a short trip just outside Boston for an outstanding gourmet meal. The servers are professional, and the food was outstanding.

The Dine Out Boston in August was a great selection. The Burrata appetizer and the chocolate dessert were the highlights. The staff kindly accomodated our request for a quiet table. We had a very positive experience.

The staff was great and our waiter was amazing. The food was phenomenal as well. The wine pairing for our menu was out of this world. Took one star off on ambiance because the electrical was being worked on and the AC wasn't properly cooling down the resturant. I'll be coming back to try more of the menu.

We have been going to Bistro 5 since it opened. We are never disappointed with the quality of the food, drinks, and service. A big shout out to our waitress, Jill, for wonderful service. My husband and I rate calamari at other restaurants gainst Bistro 5 , and Bistro 5 is always the winner!!!! Highly recommend!

We can easily walk to Bistro 5 from our home, and we go 3 or 4 times a year, going back to its opening decades ago. I have told countless people that the finest Italian restaurant, by far, was not in the North End, but in Medford. We have been there since it opened in the BYOB days. Last night was the best dining experience we have had in a long time. Every dish was astonishingly good, to the point where we ordered a dessert, normally something we skip in restaurants. We had a slice of olive oil cake topped with basil gelato. That combination sounded so outlandish, we had to try it, and it was unbelievable. Another dish was pureed eggplant and tomato, topped with goat cheese. I asked for the recipe, which I photographed so that I could make it. I think you get the idea. If your idea of good Italian is the lasagna from Bob's (which is good) go to Bistro 5 and discover the genuine article.

This is one of our favorite restaurants! This time we went to the Loire Valley wine dinner that featured a special set of dishes not on the usual menu. Every dish was flavorful and beautiful. The wine pairings were great as well. Whether we come for the regular menu or a special menu, Chef Vittorio Ettore and his team always deliver outstanding food and a wonderful experience.

Great meal/ experience at Bistro 5 where we've eaten many many times. Glad to see some new menu choices which we tried and were delish. Service was very responsive but not intrusive And gluten free options were many. A lovely evening. Highly recommended.

Always great food. Our party of 4 had fried soft shelled crabs (2 each), which were exceptionally good.

The HIDDEN GEMS OF HIDDEN GEMS
I love witting positive reviews so hopefully this will be my best one yet.

For the last several years after leaving Boston and moving a little north it's been a struggle to find an elegant restaurant with that charm I used to get in the city. That was until I found Bistro 5. As soon as I read over the menu I knew this place was special. I did not realize how special it was until walking through the front doors.

The first thing I noticed was the vibe and look. It immediately felt like I was in the right place for a Great meal. Not only was I greeted warmly with a smile but it felt really genuine and comforting. The bar is adorable and only adds to the aesthetic and vibe. The bartender is exceptional. You will be able to enjoy some of the best cocktails with the best ingredients. I was blown away at his knowledge and ability to craft such fine cocktails.

After having one of the best mixed drinks I've had in a long time I ordered the Tuna small plate, carpaccio, and the Gnocchi. I may have left the restaurant after eating but I'm pretty sure my heart and taste buds stayed a little longer. It was so good. The carpaccio with the truffle and pickled veg was incredible. Only to be outdone by the amazingly hand rolled gnocchi. All their pastas are hand made. Its is clearly hand made and they are absolutely incredible. I've since tried all the pasta there and each one is a triumphant success. Each pasta tells its own story which is always Welcomed.

Finally I ended on a dessert and an after dinner drink. By now if you're still reading you can assume it was amazing. As it was.

This was the best time out. The service is 100% amazing. Knowledgeable, kind, patient, and most importantly they make you feel very comfortable and at home. They make it very easy for you to have a good time and that's something you just don't see anymore, anywhere.

I am so thankful and appreciative to have been able to spend some time at such a wonderful place and enjoy such a beautiful atmosphere. :-)
