But this restaurant is serving authentic Sichuan food from southwestern China which exemplifies bold, pungent and spicy in your face flavors. I love Cantonese cuisine and even eat Americanized Chinese food now and again but know it’s not fair to review a Sichuan restaurant on their few non Sichuan menu items.
We loved everything we ordered from the extensive menu and only wish the food was a bit less salty. I will ask them to make our order less salty next time. To be fair, the salt level is probably how most people would prefer their food but we are low salt people. I can’t wait to return and work my way through the menu. Recommend if you want to try authentic Sichuan food. Don’t come if you want crab Rangoon and red colored pork strips.

I'm a doordash driver and as everyone knows we don't have a bathroom all the time, I was very needy and asked to use the bathroom, and they didn't allow it, this rarely happens, all the other restaurants understand human need, so I was very hurt by this situation and I hope you have more empathy and love for others, I will never go back to this restaurant, note 0 0️⃣

Service and atmosphere are what you’d normally expect from an authentic Chinese food restaurant. Not bad, but nothing impressive either. That said, the food is easily the best Sichuan food in town around the greater Boston area, in my opinion! It’s so good that it overweighs the four star I give on service and atmosphere, resulting in an overall five star review. Highly recommend!!!

Very authentic Sichuan cuisine. The chili soup base is great!! Good portion overall for three people. The beef and pork intestines are very tender. Very good plating and nice services. Even the fried peanuts in the sour spicy glass noodle taste great. Will definitely comeback for next time. I will try the duck meat.

Great food. I was sad when Chili Garden closed but Bun’s keeps the flame alive. Plenty of spicy options on the menu still, but also many non-spicy dishes if that isn’t your thing.
Eggplant with minced pork was excellent with a spicy kick.
Dry cooked string beans were seasoned well and a great not spicy side.
Beef with scallions and ginger was also great and not spicy, but wished the beef pieces were a little bigger.
My order was delivery but we’ll be back to dine in person as we used to at Chili Garden
