I am from Texas and have lived in Boston for 8 years now. If you are from the south, you know there is something about a donut shop down there that just is different from these shops in the NE. Well, I have FINALLY found my spot that reminds me of home. These donuts are FRESH, soft, chewy, perfectly sweet and just all around perfect donuts. I do not like cakey donuts. I do not like all these weird piled on flavors. Donuts with a Difference is spot on, perfect donuts.
This was one of the best donut shops I've been to in some time. I some how missed it when I lived in Meffa, bit that was probably better for my cholesterol and waistline. The donuts here are absolutely delicious. Very much on the traditional side, so don't expect to see fruity pebbles on top of them. Everything we had was super fresh and you can tell the oil is not old. I would say I had one of the top cake donuts I've ever had, cherry, that was super moist and light despite it being cake. Maple donut was my star of the show. They are constantly pumping them out, so you may get one that's warm, and let me tell you it doesn't get any better!

I visited donuts with a difference this morning around 10:30 am. The woman at the counter was kind and patient. I was happy with my experience and expecting average to normal donuts from a local, no frills kind of place. These donuts far exceeded that expectation, they’re like nothing I have ever tried before. The cake donuts are crispy on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside. The raised donuts are soft and pillowy, almost melt in your mouth. I would absolutely make the drive to Medford again just for these donuts. What an excellent treat!!

most of these donut shop owners do not use old recipes you would use from a cookbook. the taste is not the same it's usually the Bake n Joy company they supply donut shops all over the 🇺🇸 usa. I know the guy that runs this place grew up in the old days when this idea was Taking off. a point of knowledge.

Had the honey dipped donut this morning and it was so perfectly warm and not too sweet. Service was awesome, 5 stars all around.

Best donuts and great people when you can get them, too often they are late making them and have to wait an hour or longer for some, they should start earlier when taking large orders for groups since the regular customers would like a donut when as soon as you open so they can go to work

I love a good old school donut shop and Donuts with a Difference is exactly what I’m looking for. Their donuts are simple but so soft and pillowy I could probably eat 10. Came early so I got to donuts that were still warm, can’t wait to come back again !
Went out of my way to stop there at 8:15 on a weekday. No donuts. And I get the feeling that's pretty normal they just don't really care to have donuts ready early in the morning. I applaud anyone to run their business any way they like but I don't get that at all I won't be back. In other words don't go there early in the morning or I don't know what time they should post what time they're actually going to have donuts ready cuz it's pretty ridiculous for a donut shop not to have donuts in the morning.

Best donuts in the state by far, and I've had a lot of them. they are perfectly textured, not too heavy, and very delicious. Simple, flavorful, and amazing. My only complaint is the store opens at 6am, but donuts aren't ready until 8:30 / 9:00am. I basically can never get donuts before work here due to this. I'd come here a lot more if they had donuts ready earlier.
