Wellington is fine. It's not horrible during the mild months like September or October but during the winter? Yikes. You'd be mighty cold. The trains are relatively on time. The 134 bus is also, you guessed it, fine. Trains come around every 10 to 20 minutes.
The best thing about Wellington Station aside from the cool walk bridge....

Good place to park for access to the city. It gets pretty full early on the weekdays, but on the weekends you should be able to find parking no problem. If there are any special events going on in the city, be sure to go get there really early--Everyone has the same idea you do.
