The GM and our server made our experience phenomenal. They were attentive, had excellent recommendations, the service was fast and the food delicious. Some of the best drinks and tacos I’ve ever had. We will definitely be back.

I'm sorry, but this place need to decide if it wants to be a club or a restaurant. The music is so annoying! Thump, Thump Thump, Thumpity Thump, Thumpity Thump! That's all can think and hear when I'm there. Thump, Thump Thump, Thumpity Thump, Thumpity Thump! OMG! Even at dinner time, 5 - 7 pm. Thump, Thump Thump, Thumpity Thump, Thumpity Thump! Turn that crap down, or at least turn down the base during dinner hours! Or put something, anything less annoying. Then turn it up for the evening crowd if you want. It's really sad. Medford waited for years for this place. I really WANT to like this place, since friends live nearby and would be nice to have a somewhat pleasant after work place for good food and drink without having to deal with the annoying Thump, Thump Thump, Thumpity Thump, Thumpity Thump. Thump, Thump Thump, Thumpity Thump, Thumpity Thump! Then there's the tables, all crammed together and small, maybe 20 inches square. I think maybe they forgot that these little tables have to accommodate multiple 'small plates' , hence the tapas part of the tapas restaurant? And add the too-large-for-the-table lamp, the water bottle, 2 water glasses and 2 drink glasses and the menus = tables are too small. Receiving our meals was like a jigsaw puzzle or navigating chess game pieces. Table spacing is crammed. In one evening, staff bumped into us twice. I saw people almost collide 4 or 5 times, in the span of a half hour. Thump, Thump Thump, Thumpity Thump, Thumpity Thump. Thump, Thump Thump, Thumpity Thump, Thumpity Thump! Menus. These are some of the nicest cocktails I have ever had, absolutely recommend the Mezcal. Get the pulpo and the plantains for a starter- they are out of this world. All flavors are insanely fresh, this place radiated high quality. Just go, you won’t regret anything you get.

We liked all the dishes we ordered ( shrimp tacos, crab and tuna tostada, plantains, and enchiladas) and thought they were delicious and had a good amount of protein, specially the seafood dishes. The only inconvenience is the size of each portion. The cheese plantain is literally one piece of plantain on a bed of beans, so definitely not a shareable size but delicious. When I saw the pozole from the table on our side I decided not to order one, as it was served in a very small cup. We would like to see more vegetarian options but definitively we will consider going back again.

Love it! I was so happy to finally get to check it out. The food and drinks were amazing. The beef stuffed fried plantain was a late addition to our order and ended up being a big highlight to the dinner. Atmosphere was delightful and service was fantastic. I was also very happy with the prices vs other spots like Painted burro. Can’t wait to try more dishes on our next trip.

Everything was amazing… food, drinks, and friendly service.We had brisket tacos (best ever), plantains, tuna tostada, elote, scallops, El Diablo cocktail, and El Chignon cocktail. All had wonderful, inventive flavors.Such a great meal with a fun ambiance. We’ll definitely go back.
Downtown Medford was certainly in need of a more elevated spot like this-- one with an extensive drink menu, a variety of creative mixed drinks and a lovely bar. A manageable, tight assortment of tastefully executed and reasonably priced small plates rounds out the experience. Service was friendly and it wasn't tough to get in on a weeknight. The only head scratcher (and perhaps someone could enlighten me) is that, although the fare at Tacuba is described as Mexican, a distinct cuisine is not so apparent from the dishes. It feels like a creative fusion of several cuisines.

The restaurant is very nice but the food is extremely regrettable, the portions of food are strangely small and super expensive, really, if you are going to charge so much, it is expected that at least the food is a little bigger, I felt each of the tacos extremely salty, the melted cheese I liked it but I still think that the chorizo I had was too salty. It seemed like they cleaned the griddle and they put all the dirt on me. I am an octopus lover and it had a very good flavor but very very salty. Nice interior and vibes. Decent craft beer options.Now this might sound a bit weird but it is what it is. I visited this place to see a friend and he was choosing a location. This being said I'm not a fan of Mexican cuisine and this place did nothing to change my mind.
