The Mariscos are the highlight!
The queso fundido would best be served in a chafing dish to prevent the cheese from solidifying with a very large clump of salty chorizo stuck in one spot.
The front of the house was a bit disorganized. Attention to detail was lacking. Our waiter, when asked to recommend a few additional food items to order, recommended items that were already ordered/consumed. Water wasn't refilled.

Really delicious outside the box food but they could use more carbs. Dishes are largely not served with rice, tortillas, chips, etc. to mop up the pools of delicious sauce that surround them. This felt wasteful as well as being a less-than-filling experience. Service was uneven. Cheerful, but removing dirty plates seemed an afterthought even when the table was tight with them. There is no chips and salsa appetizer and that seems sad. Menu is heavy on the Seafood and low on vegetarian options.
Vegetarian options: Unclear if vegetarian dishes have lard. There are only a few veg options.

We had the corn and guacamole to start. Both were tasty. We were surprised they did not have salsa. The octopus main dish and scallops were very good, but small. The tacos were underwhelming. They came with just two toppings and lacked flavor. Drinks were good.

Food is great. I love the white fish ceviche. All the tacos are good. Service is fast. They can accommodate cilantro restrictions on almost all the dishes. We had been there twice already.
Kid-friendliness: We brought three kids (5, 3 and a baby) with us there. Both times. They had a good time. Tacos are a good size that kids enjoy without getting too messy. Also the food comes up so fast that kids eat, we eat and we are all done before they get bored.

Very tasty and interesting food. Great atmosphere and ambience. Different from typical Mexican restaurant and food. Tacos were delicious. Empanada with beef, platain wrap with cheese and flan were also excellent. Service was very friendly and accommodating for dietary modifications.

Went here for Friday night out with husband. The food here for the most part was delicious including the octopus, tacos, enchiladas and empanada though portions were a bit small for the price. Mixed reviews on drinks -I enjoy my spicy margarita but my husband’s standard margarita tasted more like a lemonade and seemed to be low on tequila. Would still come back sometime and try some other dishes, our service was great and was a fun atmosphere.

Excellent place. Great ambiance for having drinks and one of the few places where you can have good Mexican (not Texican) food. Will definitely go back

They now accept reservations. I enjoyed the experience and the food is quite good. The time we went not all the tables were packed. Maybe its slowing down? It was on the expensive side (for what it is).

We had some apps and drinks here. The food was very tasty and came out very quickly, and the different margaritas we tried were good. The size of the plates were a bit small for the price or to split and the service was a little slow, but overall a good spot in Medford center.

Food is small portions. The drinks with chamoy were really good. And the atmosphere I like it. Very modern Mexican style.

We had the most delightful experience at El Tacuba! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm smiles and genuine hospitality from the owners & hostess. Their friendliness instantly set the tone for our evening. As for the food, it was an absolute delight! Every dish we tried was bursting with authentic Mexican flavors and cooked to perfection. Each bite was a culinary adventure that left us craving for more. Moreover, the service was impeccable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed, making us feel like cherished guests.Overall, El Tacuba exceeded our expectations in every way possible, and we can't wait to return for another memorable dining experience!
