We ordered a large pasta. Our friends ordered a small pasta. The food portions were the SAME just in different size boxes. Very disappointed. We were hungry and got a portion for one child.

Food is good, but my goodness is their seating policy frustrating. They won’t take you on the waiting list before you show up. Called before we left our house and asked if there was space. Was told there was plenty of space but that sometimes it changes quick. Showed up 20 minutes later and was told there was no seating and a 30 minute waitlist. We will be taking it out of our rotation of regular restaurants, which is a shame. 🤷♂️

Food was just okay. We were sat down in a cramped corner next to a huge fan and didn’t have a whole lot of room. Our server was friendly though.
I also just got slapped with a $50 ticket from Tufts University. I was unaware that I needed to validate my parking with the restaurant upon sitting down. So, be careful where you park or just go somewhere else.

I’ve been a regular for a couple years. Never left a review but dined here twice the last week and some things made me want to leave a review. The hosts have been kind of snarky the last few times in and just sets the tone weird. Also basic requests like can I have my chicken hot/well done were not met today for my salad which was disappointing. I will say all the sandwiches including the eggplant parm (my favorite) are always very good but the shrimp and grilled chicken are just not their strengths. I also don’t appreciate paying a 3% kitchen fee. Pay your staff more or make it optional like every other restaurant. I’d expect 0 mistakes for 3% fee but that’s not the case. Charging for extra dressing when the size of the first dressing was not adequate for the amount of salad I had is just kind of funny to me. I always tip 20% cuz the bartenders provide fast service and I never have to want for anything. I recommend the wings, eggplant parm and the bread pudding! Overall I give semolina a 7/10.

Restaurants often come and go. I'm fairly confident, without even trying their food, Semolina Kitchen will not survive the competition. I know this from the email i received requesting Tuesday night reservations for 8 adults and my 10-month-old grandchild (who doesn't drink yet despite being precocious). They would love to offer us reservations with a $630 minimum ($70/person, including baby). Very presumptuous for a pizza and sandwich place.
Perfect place for lunch near Tufts University. Awesome menu, even better specials, and prompt service. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and experience.
