We had a wonderful experience at Giacomo’s. The food was absolutely delicious, full of authentic Italian flavors and beautifully prepared. The atmosphere was warm, lively, and inviting, making the whole experience even better.
The staff was excellent—friendly, attentive, and welcoming from start to finish. Everything came together perfectly: great food, great service, and a great vibe. We truly enjoyed our time and will definitely be back

Made reservations and noted it was a birthday dinner. When we arrived we were sat across from the bar directly in front of the outside door along a window. We reminded host we had a reservation and asked to be seated in the restaurant. They told us it was an hour wait. Our table and the table next to us had to leave our winter coats, hats and kids at table next to us had their hoods on. Also so noisy we could barely hear each other. The food was good but the atmosphere and placement with a reservation was not what I expected at Giacomo’s. Also, wait staff was less than sympathetic when we said we had reservation with Birthday noted. I started going to Giacomo’s 30 years ago on Hanover Street and was exited they had opened one in Melrose. I have been there at least 15 times. I will not be going back and can no longer recommend this restaurant. Also noting I have pictures of our table and table next to us bundled up trying to stay warm but will not post due to peoples faces in photo’s.

We left the restaurant before someone came to our table. We had been there for quite some time, with a reservation, and there seemed to be total disregard, we will not be returning. On top of that, half of the tables in the place were empty, and it took them 10 minutes to clear our table initially. Wait staff all seemed to be chewing food while working.

Fantastic as always... the BEST veal parm!!! Everything was wonderful! We will definitely be back... one of our favorites Italian restaurants.

We arrived an hour before my reservation, they seated us within a few minutes though. We were given option of seating at a high top in the bar or waiting for a our reservation at a table. We chose the high top. Service was great, food was beyond perfect. It was a little noisy, but it was crowded and noise level was loud, but we were able to have our conversations. I have been there several times and never have been disappointed.

Giacomo's Melrose is always a lovely time. Great food, cocktails and service. If you want a North End experience in the suburbs this is a great choice. My wife and I were regulars living near by for many years. Now that we live in Providence when business took us back to the area we made a point of dining at Giacomo's. It would also compare well to the best Federal Hill eateries.

Angela, our server, was excellent. My friend ordered seared tuna and it was very good. Unfortunately, I ordered veal piccata. It was curled up pieces of what looked like leftover meat in a tasteless sauce - with artichokes. Ugh.
