It's our favorite Italian restaurant in the Boston area. Always a great meal. Can't go wrong eating here.
Both of us had mussels & calamari over linguini, one scampi sauce and one Giacomo's sauce. Both were large portions and excellent as was the chapped salad. However, the noise level was way too loud and we needed to practically yell be heard even though we were seated at a nice table by the front window. Near the bar area it was worse. Next visit won't be on a busy Saturday evening.
Food was good, as you would expect, and service was great as well. Martinis were excellent. But it was SO loud. Party of 2 and we couldn't hear each other from across the table and our waiter couldn't hear us when we ordered, either.
Giacomo'sis one of our favorite restaurants. It's predictable in the very best way. We have never had a bad meal there. We love the lively, family ambiance. I had The ravioli special- delicious. The drinks are amazing.
Food was very good but the restaurant was extremely noisy making conversation almost impossible. A shame about the noise because the atmosphere of the restaurant is nice.
Excellent food and service. We really enjoyed ourselves and will be back. It was a little noisy in the restaurant, but the food made up for it!
Always have an excellent meal at Giacomos!! Had the chicken parm and it was delicious. Also the bruschetta appetizer was sooo good!!
Great value for your money. Food was delicious. When we got there, it was almost empty and then within 30 minutes it was packed.
Great service (Nick), great food and great value including the wine selected. We regularly dine at Giacomo's and have never had an issue and have always been satisfied.
Another great meal at Giacomo's. Our server Angela was great as always. Will be going back soon.

The most frustrating part was having to wait 45 minutes for a table, when we were on time for our reservation. The noise level is ridiculous, and the restaurant should figure out how to soften the acoustics. Food was served hot and it was good.
We had a great dining experience at Giacomo's Ristorante. The food was delicious, well-prepared, and thoughtfully presented. Every dish we tried had great flavor, and the portions were just right. The service was also very good—our server was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. The ambience was a mix of pros and cons. The overall atmosphere was warm and inviting, but the lighting was a bit dim, which made reading the menu slightly challenging. Additionally, the noise level was on the louder side, making conversation a bit difficult at times. Despite those minor drawbacks, I'd still recommend Giacomo's Ristorante for a solid dining experience with great food and service. It's a spot worth visiting, especially if you don't mind a livelier setting.
A lovely small Italian restaurant nestled in Melrose's downtown!
I met friends here for dinner for a Fundraiser for MAAV (Melrose Alliance Against Violence) and was so happy to see them participate in something like that! We ordered martinis from the celebrity bartender, mine a pumpkin martini, and then ordered food. I always try to order what a restaurant is known for so under "House Seafood Specialties", I went with the mussels and calamari over homemade fusilli 'Giacomo style' (lobster based red sauce with a touch of béchamel) absolutely delicious with a generous portion of seafood and pasta plus so reasonably priced at $25!!
& Finished the night with an Allagash White nightcap
It was very loud so it was tough to catch up with friends but it made me so happy to see such a big turnout for such an important cause!
We're already planning another dinner here soon!

The food here is absolutely amazing! So fresh. I had the butternut squash raviolis and my husband has the pork special. Both were so good. Service is great as well. If you haven't tried this restaurant you are missing out.
