We arrived an hour before my reservation, they seated us within a few minutes though. We were given option of seating at a high top in the bar or waiting for a our reservation at a table. We chose the high top. Service was great, food was beyond perfect. It was a little noisy, but it was crowded and noise level was loud, but we were able to have our conversations. I have been there several times and never have been disappointed.

Giacomo's Melrose is always a lovely time. Great food, cocktails and service. If you want a North End experience in the suburbs this is a great choice. My wife and I were regulars living near by for many years. Now that we live in Providence when business took us back to the area we made a point of dining at Giacomo's. It would also compare well to the best Federal Hill eateries.

Angela, our server, was excellent. My friend ordered seared tuna and it was very good. Unfortunately, I ordered veal piccata. It was curled up pieces of what looked like leftover meat in a tasteless sauce - with artichokes. Ugh.

Dinner as always was excellent and Tania, our server, is phenomenal. We always ask for her when we go and if she isn't available, we ask for Nick.

Food drinks and service were outstanding. Noise level was very loud and sat very close to one another so very hard to have conversation. But otherwise great.

Our group of four had wonderful dinners last night at Giacomo's Ristorante. Service was great and food was cooked to perfection! My husband and I go to Giacomo's every other month or so. We love it.....and have never been disappointed!

Food was average. Go with the standards - chicken parm, etc. The sirloin was overcooked and just not great.

Visiting from out of town and this restaurant was recommended as must, by a local. Did not disappoint. May have been the best bruschetta and Marsala I have ever eaten. Can’t wait to have a word with my Sicilian friends when I get back home. They need to step up their game.

I had made reservations for our party of 6 for a Monday evening. There was a fundraiser of some sort and the place was extremely noisy and that noise was constant throughout our time there. Our party was shouting to speak to each other from the time we entered to when we left. Our table was near next to the bar area, where the fundraiser was centralized (I saw a couple of people wearing t-shirts printed with the fundraisers name). Food was very good. I wish I knew it was a fundraiser night, but perhaps this is the scene all the time? This was my first time there, so I don't know. I booked on OpenTable; perhaps if I called directly to reserve, the staff would have told me and I would have looked for another restaurant. There was another part of the restaurant, away from the bar. I should have inquired to see if we could get a table on that side. The again, wouldn't an attentive staff say something and move us anyway? Again, this may be the usual scene, so they may be used to it. Suggest potential guests to call for reservations, ask to be seated away from the bar or inquire if there's a fundraiser that night.
