I'd been trying to find pizza I just craved since moving from Melrose to Stoneham 8 months ago. So far the leader is very good, but no delivery or open on Sunday. Then I saw a post from my favorite Petrones here and discovered that they'd deliver to me. 30 minutes later my pizza and a side of grilled chicken were on the way, ordered through the website and delivery app. A given time of 6:20 was exact! The driver came to my door like an old friend, in a clean Petrones golf shirt, even offering to bring it inside for me. Perfection! The crust was both crispy and chewy. With a unique slightly salty finish, which is delightful. Very generous toppings, well balanced across the pie. Their cheese blend is biteful yet has that long string satisfaction. I opted for alfredo over their signature red sauce and wasn't disappointed, although I'd like more garlicky taste--easily solved next time. The side of grilled & chopped chicken was very tasty and will be awesome on tomorrow's lunch salad. I was very pleased by the generous portion. I'm thrilled to have Petrones back on my speed dial. The ordering app was clunky although it did give real time updating. I think calling will be less annoying. Thanks for the great food. I knew they'd changed hands since I moved but the food quality was definitely unchanged! Yay
Honestly, the pizza sucks, one of the worst I’ve had in a long time. Extremely thick and bready, just look at the pic. Had some wings, though they were also extremely subpar. Maybe I just didn’t get the right things off the menu but my God, that is quite a low bar. This place either needs to improve, or they won’t make it, maybe living on past glories? I heard they have new owners, we used to get pizza there the last time maybe a year or two ago and it was pretty good I remember. What a bomb at this point. Melrose would do better with this relic gone.

This used to be my favorite spot in town for pizza and I have given the new owners a little bit of a grace period to see how things shake out. Overall the food has taken a dive and the prices have stayed the same or gone up. I am going to be looking for a new pizza spot.
The best dough in town has changed and is now forgettable and tastes like cardboard. A small two topping pizza (pepper and onion) is approaching sixteen dollars. The killer for me though was Kalamata olives on the menu have been replaced with canned black olives - you can’t just change something and keep calling it the same thing. It’s pricey, tastes worse and the little crumby changes add up to a crumby pizza. I know inflation is hitting hard and I love Greek pizza but this place has lost its spark.

This is not the first time that my pizza has looked like this but I thought i’d give it another chance. Almost everyone the I order from here the cheese is all moved around and like a pool.

Absolutely the worst take out we’ve ever ordered. Just placing the order took ten minutes.
Buffalo chicken calzone was terrible- they use the same chicken for the chicken finger sub.
The only edible thing we ordered was the onion rings.

I may be bias, but every experience is just what I want. Fast, hot, clean and delicious. If you like Greek pizza, eat it here.. If not, keep your mouth shut and dont.

Pizza ? is off the Hook the food at Petrone is marvelous!
Unfortunately not worth a penny. The pizzas doesn't taste any good. Low-quality cheese felt like artificial taste made an unappetizing texture . Lack of freshness. Pricy for what it is.
