Great tea at a great price!
Herbs Make Scents tea has the best loose leaf tea! There are so many flavors and varieties available to chose from such as Black, White, Green, Herbal, Ayurvedic, and Cold Brew. My absolute favorite is the Chai Rooibos (Herbal). Another popular offering (and another favorite) is their Lavender Lemonade which I insist you must try! Owner, Terri, is very knowledgeable on all things tea and can help you pick the one for your cup! Highly recommend this small business!
I went in not knowing exactly what I wanted. I was given a few samples to try and was set up with something I really like, the Toffee Pu Erh. Will be going back for more in the future.
Did a tea blending class here once and it was so much fun!! The shop is wicked cute and cozy and the owner is so sweet and helpful. Also, the tea is DELICIOUS. I love coming here
I haven't been into the shop but my Grandmother has and she loved it! She bought me a bag of the soothe and Sleep tea and it's been the best thing to ever happen to me. My 5 star rating is not only for the tea though. I went online to purchase more as I live too far to go to the shop myself. I placed a bulk order and soon recieved an email from the owner that she only had part of my order available and the rest was on back order. She ever so kindly shipped what she had to me with a handwritten note that the rest will be on its way soon. I cannot rave enough about the kindness and level of communication she had. The tea is amazing and so are the people!
My husband and I participated in the “Make Your Own Tea Blend” class, where Terri talked and guided us through the process of making our own tea blend to take home with us. She is a humble and gracious host and teacher, who shared her knowledge and experience for/of teas and the process, openly. For example, tea qualities, ways to blend teas, water steeping temperatures, etc.
She had several examples of tea blends to compliment each other, and a recipe card for us to remember the teas that we sampled that we may use in our blend.
There were several base teas she prepared for us to taste, and teas that we could use to build on the base. It was such a playful time for the senses as we smelled and sipping on different teas, took in the uniqueness of the tea shapes and colors. We came to our own tea blend, and even created a name for the blends. It was fun seeing what blends others were putting together. It was a class of 8 people, and the blends were so different, so we left with some ideas for future blends. Not to mention, that we learned about smoked tea for the first time, so we will be giving this a try.
The store has lovely decor and cozy feel to it with a table and chairs to sit and drink tea and eat pastry and chocolates. There are various types of tea blends that Terri has created, tea pots and tea infusers, local honey, local jams, local soaps and local truffles.
Excellent tea shop. Staff extremely helpful. Made an amazing milk tea drink from the Earl Grey w/ dandelion root that the shopkeep custom made for us on the spot.
I received a wonderful gift box with candle, teas, biscuits and jams...just amazing.....Best gift ever!!! each item was so special I set it all up with the candle lit for a very stressfree event. Your HMS Box is used when I need a little love!! Thank you

I want everyone to know we have a tea shop on mendon. Also I had there Scones, they are delicious. The shop has all your needs to make hot or cold tea. The tea is blended tea's that the shop makes in house. And of course many gift ideas. The truffles are amazing !!
Awesome stopping by this afternoon. I came home and brewed a cup of their air roasted coffee...even in my reusable kcup..wow! What a pleasure.
I only discovered what a good tea is after having my first sip of HMS tea. Terri hand blends all the exquisite herbal teas that I'm in love with... so much so that now I am using it in my cooking, baking and chocolate making experiences. I LOVE HMS chai, lemon ginger, L.o.v.e, lavender lemonade, pretty much everything they blend. Everything I tried was perfectly balanced. Keep in mind that I used to be an avid coffee drinker and have replaced my afternoon coffee with HMS. The shop is also charming and inviting. They also have lovely gift sets. This shop is a gem!
I stopped in today to pick up scones I had ordered. I couldn't get there on Thursday when she had a special of buy 3 scones get one free. I let her know I wasn't going to be able come in and she wrapped them and froze them and still gave me the special pricing today(Saturday). I got a peach iced tea after trying a sample. Peach iced tea is not my thing. It is now...from HMS. It was great! It was black iced tea with real peaches in it!!! Also, I got a sandwich special. It was black forest ham, Gouda cheese, bourbon mustard on a pretzel roll. It was delicious. I especially liked the mustard. It came veggie straws too. I love going there. I got hibiscus lemonade in a bottle to have for later. I don't know her name, but she is so kind and just great to chat with. If you haven't been there, you definitely need to stop by!!!!?♥️
The owner is wonderful and knowledgeable about the products. The chicken salad sandwich with cranberry is delicious. The lavender lemonade is my favourite drink.
