I come from Lowell where there is Chinese food all over the place. To find a chi a star reminds me of home. Also my daughter has an egg allergy along with other items. They must have written down on a note next to our phone number about the allergy because they mentioned it before we did. They had no problem being extra cautious preparing my daughter's plate. That made me feel like they care for their customers like family. I thank them for being about their custo.ers. this will always be out go to spot! Much love China star methuen.

It's a small place, food was hot and fresh. Service was lacking a bit. The man at the counter looked annoyed and wasn't particularly helpful. Overall would return but get take out to avoid the over all interaction if possible.

Ordered the poo poo player for 2 and large Shrimp fried rice. Everything was fresh, hot and good. Almost no grizzle on the boneless spare ribs. The beef teriyaki was thick pieces of meat and cooked well. Nothing was greasy. And the rice was fresh. When I order Chinese food I order from here and for the first time it was all on point.

It’s very sad it’s come to this, over 10 years ordering food from this place and now it’s a mission to just get an order across without getting some smart remark or just double checking if it’s possible for a simple substitute. Taking business for granted can be costly in the long run.

This review is based solely on customer service. The food is and has always been very decent.I have been ordering from here for over 11 years. My company is less than a mile from there. Today what I experienced is nothing less than insane.3 of us had a hankering for Chinese and called China star as we have for the last 11 years. We ordered combination plates. Food arrived hot in less than 10 mins! Amazing! 1 of us didn’t receive a full order (no big deal people make mistakes)… He called explained the situation held on hold for over 10 mins, finally a manager gets on and proceeds to basically assume he was lying. After a few comments he offers to drop off the missing component (beautiful!) after 90 mins of waiting (rest of meal is cold and gross at this point) he calls and asks for a refund of his plate. The manager then says “Sure come bring me back the food and I’ll give you a refund” you have to be kidding me. We will never be back.

After being their good customer for years I wash given an very incomplete order , then put through the ringer to get my refund. I still can't believe,they make a huge mistake ( forgot to bring the lobster sauce in their Lobster sauce combination plate) then they were surly on the phone,questioning wether i even ordered from them. Then they made me bring back my food. They told me ,first the manager,then the owner have to approve refunds.I forgot to mention,I didn't cancel until almost 2 hours past from the time I called to remind them they never brought Lobster sauce. Then I called to cancel.I will bever buy anything from the again,barbaric treatment. Then after all the grilling over the phone the manager nor the owner,would come out and face me.
