Today, 12/04/25 at 8:00 pm in the emergency room of Holy Family Hospital, I have never seen such a clueless doctor as the one I had. He arrived at my place without any information, even though I had surgery at the hospital two days ago, and he didn't even know which hospital it was at. Then he acted more like he was trying to uncover a lie than to help. terrible attitude and lack of professionalism.👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻👎🏻
Nothing but praise when I was there. Doctor Ty is amazing Neurosurgeon!
This hospital and the staff have always been very good to me and solved all my medical problems over the past 25 years
I rushed my boyfriend to the hospital he’s a diabetic and went into DKA which is fatal already taking long to bring him into the emergency room and he had a pain in upper abdominal area he was throwing up and he was confused and they told him to calm down and relax when he was hyperventilating when he couldn’t help it they were basically getting mad at him for hyperventilating. he had a minor heart attack and they took hours for his medicine and his IV while his heart attacks were happening after he got his medicine he asked if he could eat multiple times they kept him hungry after him not eating for 24 hours and every time he asked it would take an hour and 30 minutes til he asked again and it kept happening and he asked 3 other people and I brought him McDonald’s and they said he couldn’t eat it he ate it anyways and the last nurse who came in told him that his blood sugar is fine and told him to just leave and they never told him he could eat so they wanted him to starve the entire night and they let him go at 3 am
Worst experience altogether.
Jesus Christ of Nazareth bless everyone this is this message first I want to say that I think they should clean the outside of the chapel 😔 because God's church or chappell should be clean and beautiful to worship our loving Lord 🙏
I’m only giving one star because I HAVE to. This was one of the worst hospital experiences I’ve ever had. My child and I waited over six hours in the emergency room waiting area with no updates, even after being told multiple times that we would be seen “next.” Several other patients left after waiting for hours as well.
When I asked for an update, I was told, “We’ll get to you when we can,” which felt incredibly dismissive. We eventually left and went to Haverhill, where we were seen right away. The lack of communication, compassion, and efficiency at this hospital is completely unacceptable — especially in an emergency setting. I would not recommend coming here if you need timely or attentive care.
very nice
Horrible waiting time!! Waited 7 hours to get call and nothing, they kept bringing people before me. I ended up leaving without getting check in. The triage nurse does not even check on people and the front desk personnel does not help at all they are just on their phone all the time not putting attention on the patients. Don’t go to this hospital don’t waste your time. And if it’s something serious they can do anything for you they just transfer you to Boston.
I never thought I’d be writing a review for a hospital, but this place truly deserves it. I brought my husband here a couple of years ago, and the care we received was absolutely outstanding. Every doctor, nurse, and staff member treated us with kindness, compassion, and professionalism.
We moved and had to go to another hospital, and let me tell you...nowhere compares to this one. The level of care, attention, and genuine concern for patients here is unmatched. I’m so grateful for everything they did for us and wish we still lived close enough to come back.
Highly recommend this hospital to anyone who wants not just excellent medical care, but people who truly care.

Ill update with a writeup soon
If I could give zero stars, I would. What I experienced at Holy Family Hospital’s emergency department was nothing short of neglect, cruelty, and a complete failure of basic medical care.
On Monday, September 1st, I arrived with the worst headache of my life, sudden, severe pain with nausea, vomiting, neck pain, blurred vision, and numbness in my hands. These are textbook neurological red flags. Instead of being treated as the life-threatening emergency it was, I was left in triage for over an hour, actively vomiting and crying out for help, only to be told multiple times to “quiet down.”
Staff sat at the nurses’ station eating dinner while I was screaming on a stretcher. After I vomited all over myself, my boyfriend had to beg for help before someone finally handed me an emesis bag after the fact. Nobody helped me clean up; I lay there with my hair covered in vomit, ignored, humiliated, and in agony.
When I was finally scanned, it showed exactly what I feared: a subarachnoid hemorrhage (bleeding in the brain from a likely aneurysm). I had to be med-flighted to Mass General for emergency neurosurgical care. Had this delay cost me my life, it would have been on their hands.
As a registered nurse myself, I am deeply ashamed and disgusted that this is what healthcare has come to at Holy Family. To dismiss, belittle, and outright ignore someone with my symptoms is dangerous, negligent, and unforgivable. This was not only poor care, it was inhumane.
This experience has left me traumatized. Patients deserve dignity, compassion, and urgent attention in critical situations. Beyond disappointed with this facility and staff.

Their phones have been down for two days and there is no way to get in contact with anyone there since they don't use email. It amazes me that you can't get in touch WITH A HOSPITAL FOR 48 HOURS. Ridiculous...
My sister has been there over two days. Diagnosed with cancer. Her oncologist has seen her twice and has yet to say what stage cancer. She is on a catheter and apparently they inserted it incorrectly and she bleed and peed on her bed. Her nurse was extremely rude to me when I called to inquire if the doctors saw her today. A simple yes or no question. She educated me on the role of a medical proxy which I fully understand not my first rodeo. Then while I was on the phone with my sister she went into her room complaining about me to my sister. Horrible experience and not a good hospital
