Horrible experience today 😔 There is NO SENSE or urgency in the one place you expect to see it, the Emergency room ! Waiting for hours and hours was completely unnecessary! All while staff are more interested in showing Eachother things on their phones and casually talking about their weekend plans , while sick people are piling up. As we sat and waited,I watched a male security guard handing out hugs to 5 of his female coworkers , while "working". The entire process of waiting and worrying, while watching everyone joke and laugh amongst themselves was absolutely unprofessional and chaotic. All I can say is, never again ... Keep driving to the next facility in ANY emergency situation, you would die in the waiting room here if it's serious...

My 97 year old mother was taken by emergency to Holy Family there after she fell and hit her head. She
was released a few hours later at about 2:30 am. in which they found nothing wrong. Her last name was spelled so incorrectly despite having all this paperworkwith her. My mother has to be brought back to the hospital the same day for signs of a stroke. This time was brought to Lawrence General where she received great care. They also found she had a UTI and was admitted to the other hospital. I would never recommend this hospital to anyone.

Terrible Hospital
Terrible Service
Don’t waste your time coming here.

Jessica the front Receptionist/ Door Controller brushed me off when her poor co worker next to her had a line full of customers.

I was the last person in line waiting as the person ahead was checking in her father.
Jessica looked at me saying
“ I can’t take you, you have to wait for her”
Pointed to her poor co worker, and continued to be on her phone. I just said “ok” as this is my first time being here.

I went toward her coworker after she finished the person ahead of me.
I said “i’m here to visit a patient” and jessica’s co worker said “Oh I don’t take those people, Jessica can you take this?”

… so all along i waited in line just to be sent back to jessica who declined service from the beginning.

i firmly told jessica the patient name and then watched her co worker walk away to put a patient wrist band on the previous patient. then i see a white man come in, he has a bleeding hand, and jessica quickly takes him to check him into the hospital…

i have no clue if it’s because of my race, but jessica could’ve said “are you checking in or visiting a patient ?” instead of “oh you have to wait for her” which assumes i’m either sick or need help when i was just visiting my brother…

Also, my brother has been in the ER since the night before (it’s 11:30 as i’m writing this) and he still wasn’t offered a room to stay in… even though he has to undergo appendix surgery. Would’ve rather had my brother wait at the Lowell General Hospital as their workers aren’t distracted in their phones.

Thanks for your “service” Jessica.

Go elsewhere. Pre-registration team for an FNA are absolutely terrible and careless and unkind. Stay far away.

I had a very distressing experience at this hospital when my baby brother had a febrile seizure at my house, and we rushed him to the ER. Our nurse, whose name was Necky, was negligent in her care. We repeatedly asked her to administer Tylenol to help reduce his fever, but she responded by saying, "Give me a few minutes." As a result, my baby brother had another brief seizure because she failed to recheck his temperature or provide the medication in a timely manner.
It’s concerning that doctors and nurses only seem to respond when something goes wrong, rather than being proactive in preventing such incidents. As a pre-med student with a high GPA, I have a strong understanding of what should be happening in the hospital. Necky’s failure to do her job as a nurse was both alarming and unacceptable.

Worst hospital I've ever been to. My mother got admitted and they never fed her till the next day and all they gave her was a grilled cheese sandwich. She didn't get her meds end of 2nd day. And had to wait over an hour just to get discharged and ended up walking out cause the doctor didn't answer his text to discharge her. Very unprofessional. Would not recommend anyone to go here.

Should call this place Unholy Family Hospital. Waited for hours to get the results of a cat scan. Nothing but excuses and bull****! People are unfriendly and useless. If you thought it would get better when Steward left you were WRONG.

The worst experience is that the nurses are the ones who make the decision to do an exam and x-rays as if they were doctors. It's almost 3:30 and they've done a study because the nurses have sent me and I'm sitting in a waiting room.

My daughter went to the ER for severe back pain. Could barely get off the floor. They gave her a muscle relaxer and sent her home saying that it wasn't an emergency. No scan, MRI or ultrasound.
She'll never go back there.

I came in with a simple problem. They left me crying in pain for hours in the ER. Turned my problem into something extremely serious by doing an unnecessary procedure that could have been avoided if they had actually checked whether I needed it. I was in such severe pain for the next two weeks while I was there and received the worst treatment I can imagine. So much judgment for asking for help for the pain they’d given me. All of the doctors told me a different treatment plan and clearly weren’t communicating with one another. I didn’t know who to listen to. I tried to get my medical records from the records department and the head nurse lied to me, telling me that I’m not allowed to do that and that I needed to just stay in my room. I felt like a cow getting milked for my insurance money. Eventually I left against medical advice and went to a real hospital where I was taken care of, but not without first getting guilted and scared by the doctor who told me that I’d really regret leaving. Please please please never come to this place. I would feel so horrible for someone to come here who is unable to advocate themselves and see the hospital use them for their money, put them through unnecessary painful procedures, confuse them, and scare them. These “health care providers” legitimately ruined my health, and I had to stay in a real hospital for weeks where they said my condition was very severe because of what I had been put through and the treatment I received at Holy Family Hospital.

This was the absolute worst experience I have had at a hospital. They have gone so downhill here. I waited in the ER for 4 hours and watched people come in after me and get taken into rooms. I fell asleep in a wheelchair waiting to be seen. Not a single nurse called me. I went to tell them I’m leaving and they had absolutely no idea why I never got seen and had nothing helpful for me. I got to leave still sick with no help at all. Worst experience.

DEFINITELY DO NOT TAKE YOUR CHILDREN. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHY THERE IS A CHILD EMERGENCY UPSTAIRS AND WHEN A BABY ARRIVES THEY DON'T MAKE ANY EFFORT TO CALL A PEDIATRICIAN. I went to the hospital on Sunday and they told me that a pediatrician would see me and that wasn't the case. The damn doctor, whose name I have engraved in my mind, practically sent me home with a double dose to give to a baby. Thank God I only gave the medicine once. My baby became completely sleepy and had no energy. That's how they kill children. I thought that after General Lawrence supposedly took over the administration, things would get better.
