Recently moved back to Methuen & wanted to go to my favorite restaurant while I was living here. It was a quiet hump day ( Wednesday ). Weekends can be busy. Ellie’s farmhouse has a wide range breakfast selection with delicious cocktails. Brandon our server was very attentive, informative & just overall genuine guy. We waited 30 minutes for cold brew flights which I find horrifying.. we almost completely our meal… is it better to just order a single glass?

Great experience, really good food. The place is huge and impressively clean. I sat at the bar (bartender Sierra was a rock-star, stellar service) and did breakfast. I had the avocado toast, which comes exactly how it sounds, but added scrambled egg, their barbacoa and topped with house made hot sauce. Try it. Blue berry pancakes and they didn't skimp, didn't even need syrup. Definitely will be back

My friend recommended me this place. I gave it a try and I am disappointed. I placed an order to go. I wasn’t given any Holly sauce so my eggs Benedict were plain. There were no utensils in the bag. There was no ketchup in the bag.

Very good breakfast. Highly recommend coming here if your ever in the area. Larissa was a friendly. Food was well made and atmosphere was comfy. Fresh made all from scratch and boy can you tell they put their heart and soul into what they serve. Prices are phenomenal. You'd pay the same prices at a chain restaurant that wouldn't even have been worth it. 25 min wait time on a Sunday was well worth it.
Was so good we came back the next day for lunch before leaving the area. Busy as usual but very much worth the short wait. Waiter was Camilo and he was a delight. Food was very good. My son was raving about the California burger. We will definitely come here anytime we are in the area.
The banana bread was unreal and so fluffy. If your in the area you need to come here it's amazing

We've been 3 times now as its an easy meeting place for our family. After our last visit probably won't be back. We've been on weekend days only previously and were more than understanding about a longer wait and poor service. Fine. Its busy, it happens. Our last visit was on a Tuesday in which 3/4 of the restaurant was empty. Small group, three and a baby. Any needs or requests from start to finish we had to either find a staff behind the drink counter or flag someone down as our waitress was MIA. Frustrating but we were willing to let it go. Food was good and relatively quick. Finally it comes time to pay. We request a check and 2 boxes. After waiting 25 minutes with an increasingly frustrated baby our waitress went to all the tables around us and passed by us. My wife asked her as she was walking by again after for the check and boxes. Another 5 minutes go by and she's at a different table chatting with them. Finally after another request we get out check and are able to leave. A 30 minute wait after finishing our meal with an increasingly loud baby is absurd. That in itself made us agree not to return unless it's for takeout.

The service was Absolutly horrible. Took 30 minutes to get drinks. The food was mediocre at best. The bloody Mary’s gave everyone that I was with that had 1 a horrible bathroom experience. The server spilled a drink all over my daughter then attempted to charge us for it. Then due being 8 of us that went out for breakfast they had a large party charge . We pushed 2 tables together ourselves . I will never go to Ellie’s again . And I hope this review educates people on this place

Their breakfast is simply outstanding—fresh, hearty, and made with care—and the lunch menu is just as wonderful, offering delicious options full of flavor.
