I went on a fairly quiet night. Had a question about a couple of the beers and one of the brewers happened to be at the bar. He was super friendly and answered all my questions. I ended up getting a couple great beers and a lesson! Would definitely go back.
Fun, quirky, experimental brewery with a pretty sick vibe if you ask me. I've been coming here for years and never bothered to leave a review but you know what. It's time. This place is fun as hell and the beer might not be for everyone but if you're adventurous and social, this is where it's at. You and your little dog too.
Disappointed in their avid use of AI art on their IG feed. Support real art/artists.
Space was spacious. Beer was meh. Staff less than stellar. They state on their website no kids after 7 to keep it 21+, fine I left my kids at home on purpose others did not without a word said to them. Don't expect a bar seat as they're reserved for staff and their friends. Plenty of great breweries around I would rather give my business to. Won't be back.
Have been a few times, the crowd is great on trivia nights, the bartender M.J. Always kind and helpful.
Excellent beers, many that are experiment and thoughtful. Nice little play area for kids and pinball
machines for adult. Definitely worth a stop and return visit.
Upon entering the nano brewery, I immediately noticed the adorably painted walls of chunky piggies and was tickled pink 🐷 with Penny Pinchers Brewing Co's atmosphere.
Game nights & musicians on certain nights- check out their website & Facebook page for events. A dart board to keep you occupied as you taste & savor the many options of delicious brews. Tried the pickle like IPA (didn't write down the correct name, my apologies to the brewer on that🤦🏾♀️) was wicked yummy. So much so that I had to have another. 🤤
Although if it's possible, an added spicy pickle to the cup, would be a lovely crunch after. I shall remember to bring my own jar next time I stop for a beer. It is BYOF! Many take-out food options & a grocery store near there that will compliment the flavors.
Bartender mentioned a few options so I tried a sip of a few other IPA's. The blueberry did not taste like blueberries, unsure if they had any snozzberries 😉, but the pickle one was definitely my favorite.
Business is on the main drag so parking can be difficult, look for the Parking (P) signs as Millbury does have a parking lot or two near all the businesses. Seriously... slow down while driving or else you'll fly right by a spot. Handicap accessible!
Friendly environment great beer and good friends
My husband and I have had their beer at many a beer festival and talk about their jalepeno Kolsh maybe once a month so for my birthday, we decided to make the drive to the taproom finally!
It happened to be the Millbury Chain of Lights so the taproom was bustling with festive families. We found a table by the door and ordered a bunch of small pours to be able to try as many as we could including:
- Candy Cane Potty, White Stout (order this with the candy cane rim!)
- Rainy Day Fund, Cloudberry Blonde Ale
- Sticky Fingers, Sweet Potato Casserole Amber Ale
- Amaretto, Spiked Water
& the 2 Collab Brews with Lost Shoe Brewing in Marlborough, MA:
- Penny Loafers, Apple Pie Oatmeal Stout
- A SIXPENCE in your shoe, Caramel Pecan Pie Stout
We were impressed with their beers and found their taproom in downtown Millbury charming, we'll definitely be back in again soon!
Good beer. I had the Promo Code: Lemon, which wasn't my favorite, but will still come back to try their other offerings. Quick and friendly service.

Interesting selection, excellent NEIPA
Great spot all around.
what an accurate name for this establishment. a friend of mine was hired to host an event and the owner promised a specific rate. the second time the event was hosted, the owner paid far less than what was promised since there was a smaller turn out. you would think the owner would be decent enough to give the payment that was promised and then maybe moving forward adjust it according to the amount of customers attending. but no. beer was fine but overpriced on top of that and lacked diversity. everything on the menu should be two to three dollars less considering the portions below average. i dont want to be too harsh as the service wasn't bad by any means but I think there are far better breweries to spend your money
