Excellent seafood and much more! My mother has been a fan of Scales seafood for a long time and she’s always been pleased with the meals and the service. Recently I tried their Meatloaf and it was OUTSTANDING. Delicious huge portion of melt in your mouth meatloaf covered with this amazing gravy and creamy real mashed potatoes for a side. It was such a fantastic homemade style meal. Scales has awesome seafood that come in great portions and pizza as well. Cute interior with fun decor if you like to eat in.

Today was my first time eating at Scales, we were looking for a more local place for take out seafood and decided to give Scales a try.The first issue was I ordered a large chowder (12 oz per the menu) but when I got home I discovered they gave me a small (8oz per the menu and container it was in) but I was charged for the large. Unfortunately the way it was packed caused it to leak all over the bag. What I did have the opportunity to eat was pretty good, I just wish the order was right and not all over the bag.The large coffee frappe I ordered was only filled halfway, again I noticed when I got home. It was basically slushy milk with barely any coffee flavoring. Had I noticed while I was still in the restaurant I would have returned it.The scallop roll seemed fine, no complaints there.The clam fritters were pretty burnt they tasted bitter and were too charred. I couldn’t finish them, I got through 2.For the price and quality I wasn’t impressed. I won’t be going back.

Scales is among my favorite local restaurants. I've come here with my family for years, ordering the fish & chips, onion rings, sweet potato fries, clam cakes, or chowder. The prices are reasonable. Even during the pandemic, I could sit outside in their spacious parking lot to eat. The location is just the right distance off the highway to be convenient without hearing traffic. I'll keep supporting this business for as long as it's open.

The food is amazing!!!! I live in the neighborhood & recently found this hidden gem, everything on the menu is great & they make everything fresh! I had the Mac & cheese it was soooo delicious & the corn chowder is to die for, salads are amazing definitely try the raspberry chicken salad, I can’t wait to try some more of the chowders & the prices are very pocket friendly with good portions you will not be leaving here without an empty stomach I promise you that! I have been eating here once a day since I found it & they do delivery !

Saturday night in Massachusetts, gotta be seafood. Found Scales on my Google maps and it looked like a good choice. Almost thought I missed it on the drive. In the rain it was not easy to see. Very informal atmosphere. Seat yourself, first come, first served. The inside is decorated with, well.. scales. From small personal up to freight size. There are two windows under the big menu board. Not clearly marked but I believe one is for ice cream and one for other foods, of which there are plenty choices. After making my choice and placing my order I was informed it was cash only. Fortunately, as these places have learned, they had an ATM handy. The scallops Parma Rosa was pretty good. Plenty of scallops. May have to go back and try some other dishes.
First time there but heard good things. Disappointed with seafood we ordered. Taste average and came cold. Will try one more time but not seafood.

I had the baked combo plate this evening - haddock and shrimp. The shrimp was not deveined well at all. It was rubbery and dry. The tiny piece of haddock was overcooked, dry and tasteless. I had rice and cole slaw as sides. The cole slaw was horrible and the rice tasted super old and dry. My husband had the baked haddock also - the same overcooked, dry and tasteless fish I had. Altho his sides were butternut squash and baked sweet potato - they were edible ! Disgusting food - what a total waste if money !!
