I have very good memories here playing tik tak toe, and eating delicious pancakes but after covid it took a real drop in food quality but I still like coming

This place is awesome!! The staff are extremely friendly and they make you feel at home. The benedicts and sausage and gravy are amazing!! My favorite is the hashlette and the breakfast burrito. Service is quick even when they are busy. If you’re local and want a good breakfast, you should definitely check this diner out, you won’t regret it!

Great service, and amazing food ? I would definitely revisit when I am back in town.

Excellent family owned independent restaurant. I see some reviews unfairly giving 1 star because they were closed or a dish wasn’t as good as “remembered”. Please remember before you leave reviews with very low scores that you are potentially taking money away from independent business and influencing potential customers to eat elsewhere, which frequently means a corporate owned chain. Many of which ironically have terrible service and underpaid workers. I’m not by any means saying don’t review, I’m just saying perhaps it’s harsh to leave a 1 or 2 star review if it wasn’t a pretty extreme case of a bad experience. To me that means I got bad food, lousy service and paid too much for the “experience”. Small family owned business is a dying breed, and should get our support and especially our patience and understanding that they aren’t corporate robots. I am in NO way associated or affiliated with this restaurant. Only been once. Didn’t even meet the owner. I just had a solid experience and wanted to review and noticed some unfair reviews. Please support local businesses in your area. It benefits local residents in many ways far beyond what a chain can do.Kid-friendliness: Family friendly place, very accommodating.

Food was very tasty and waitress was super attentive. The portions were a tad on the small side however it was very busy and possibly a fluke. Will definitely try again in the future! :)

The service was good, but watching the cook make our meal and continuously touching his cell phone and then our food grossed me out. I know how dirty cell phones are and your hands should be washed.

Our kind of place. Loved the prime rib hash, my wife loved the French toast. We’d come back! Across the street from the bike trail if you’re bringing your bike.

Shady Glen is a hidden gem! Went for breakfast and I got a Monte Cristo sandwich with home fries. The sandwich had actual sliced turkey and ham rather than deli meat and it was on Texas toast style french toast. YUM. Home fries were a little under done for me (I prefer them a little crispy) but the flavor was great. Nothing was over salted which is rare these days. Will definitely be going back.

While on a walk I stopped in to get some food to-go. I remember coming here as a kid and it was amazing… this was not… I got a Greek omelet, corned beef hash and a chocolate chip waffle for my daughter. The omelet tasted plasticky and barely had egg. The corned beef hash was super dry and a super small amount for $5. The waffle just had chocolate chips sitting on top of it. I was pretty disappointed none of it tasted very good but the service was still amazing.
