We had a terrible experience last Saturday afternoon at Baja Mexican Restaurant in Jacksonville, Alabama. We eat at this restaurant often and have never had a problem before now. We went there for birthday celebrations for my Daughter and Granddaughter. The music was louder than usual, and we asked the Manager. Michael, if he could lower the volume. He told us in no uncertain terms that he was actually the owner and he could play the music as loud as he wanted. It was so loud that the server was having trouble taking our orders, and it was nearly impossible to have a conversation at the table. There were two people who have documented hearing loss at our table, and it was uncomfortable for them to be exposed to the loud music as they absolutely couldn’t hardly hear anything said at the table. This was explained to Michael who said he would not turn down the music volume. We weren’t asking him to turn off the music but to lower the volume. We left this restaurant went to Calhoun Restaurant where we were treated well, and had an enjoyable meal without feeling that we were in a night club with loud music. We’re still upset with the situation that occurred. Does anyone have suggestions as how to prevent this from happening to anyone else? I think the Americans with Disabilies Act covers this.

Great Lunch. Very good food. I loved it. I ordered the Carnitas plate and it was too much for lunch but I am looking forward to finishing it off for dinner with some more guac.

My friend and I have been going here for years to get tacos and the staff has consistently made the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. They’re so friendly and the portions are great and match the prices very well. The definition of a little “hole in the wall” Mexican restaurant that does everything correctly. I recommend soft street tacos here.
Vegetarian options: BAHA has vegetarian protein options for their tacos and burritos as well as including full ingredient lists of all their menu items, many of which are vegetarian friendly

Amazing food. Have gotten mainly take out and have never been disappointed. Fantastic birria!
Amazing service, man working the counter is very kind and friendly. The food was similarly amazing, the taco shells and chips are made in-house and are delicious, as well as the salsa given. I had a chicken enchilada and I could tell all the ingredients were fresh and high-quality. Amazing place, I will be back.
