We enjoyed our meal and service at the bar very much. A great burger and a great salmon dish. We always start with some pita and hummus. I was especially pleased to see the addition of jacks Abby Octoberfest beer (copper legend) on tap. Love the restaurants in the smallsea towns after the summer. Gotta do all we can to keep them open.
We had eaten here once previously and had a similar very positive experience with overall excellent food (small plates and appetizers) and service. We very much appreciated being able to be seated earlier than our planned dinner reservation.
Great location had lunch on a sunny day. Oysters were fresh and came out right away. And then we waited and waited and waited. After noticing that almost everyone seated after us were eating we asked about our food which was a salad, chowder, fried clams and grilled salmon not exact complex. Instead of checking and apologizing we got answer that they don't fire the order until after the oysters are delivered and the salmon takes longer. Of course the table next to us had oysters and were almost done with their entrees before we got our entrees. After we asked suddenly food appeared, including the salmon which most of taken longer because it was dried out and cold likely cause it sat out. Maybe just a bad day but instead of a BS answer maybe check and if it was missed just a sorry and re do the salmon. Did we send it back, no because it had already taken so long and the lack of care that it took so long to come out. Water glasses were empty most of the time as well. Lovely town probably much better choices to be had especially for this price point.
Alanna was awesome, friendly and spot on with recommendations. Food was perfect. Great night out
Brine is a nice dinner spot in Newburyport. Thursday is dollar oyster night from 4-7 pm. It was busy and the staff was really working hard. We started with oysters of course and a Maine Lunch for me and vodka martini for my wife. I got the "Brine" burger and it was good. My wife ordered the pita and hummus and the beef tartare. Pita was hot and soft, the hummus very tasty. The beef tartare was tasty. The portion of tartare was small compared to what she is accustomed to and it was loaded with "fried/crunchy" potatoes (unusual?). Our server Andrew was fantastic!
Our appetizers and meals were delicious, and we received excellent service from our server. Will definitely return to Brine!
Dining perfection!! A wonderful summer evening — delicious food and wine, perfect service, great weather and ambience. Can't wait to go back!
Way too expensive for food that did not live up to the price. The best tasting dish was the fried clams, which are pretty hard to screw up. Lobster ravioli did not taste like lobster or ravioli—it was served with wayyy too much corn and had nasty chunks of hot peppers in the burrata ravioli. The surf and turf special was not good at all; steak was overcooked and it was smothered in a ton of creamy lemongrass sauce. With drinks, it was $300 for two people, including two apps. For fine dining prices, the food should be much better.
We‘ve been going to Brine since it opened it and usually love everything we get, but they‘ve drastically changed the menu and a lot of our favorite staples are gone or have beeb „modernized“ not for the better. We‘d be hapoy if they‘d go back to the yummy, creative staples for which they are famous vs. a drastic overhaul.
Glad to do a review but the double authentication is a pain in the rear Having said that the service was a bit slow, but understandable as it was a busy summer night We sat outside and the noise level was fine there but inside is kind of a roaring thunder, which would've been annoying if we sat inside

While the food was good and the service was warm and professional, just be aware that the acoustics in there are horrendous. It was so incredibly loud that you had to yell to hear. If sitting outside, it would have been better. We came for oysters (excellent!) and would have stayed for dinner but the noise made it uncomfortable.
Outstanding. Great everything. The waiter was super. The food was extra yummy. We had a cheesesteak sandwich and a Thai Salad Bowl. First experience for one of the ladies. I shall return again. I will definitely keep telling everyone how great this place really is ...xoxoxo
Food and service were excellent—always a 10 out of 10 whenever I've gone there and tonight was no different. Highly recommend the burnt coconut and ginger mussels and the caviar pasta! It gets noisy there but it's part of the vibe.
As usual another fantastic dinner at Brine!! Service and food was simply amazing. Thank you!
There were 3 of us for dinner and the acoustics there are so bad. I had been there before and totally forgot about that. I probably won't go back because of the noise level and that is unfortunate because the food and service were fabulous. Thank you.
