This is a super cute spot, and the workers were very helpful in determining which options were vegan. They had a house made banana bread syrup that was lovely in my iced coffee, and they confirmed that nearly all of their syrups are vegan (all house made, only one she said is not was the mocha). They had several vegan banana bread options - we went with a maple walnut which was delicious. They also had a vegan croissant. Great options!
Best coffee in town!! Love their egg sandwich!

The outside walk up window was great for me and my dog. They even gave him a treat. The scone was perfect and the nitro was delicious.

Stopped here with my friend for breakfast, its on a side street so you don't even really know its there.
The inside was cute and small, theres an outdoor patio with tables and chairs to sit at and eat. Theres also a walk up window if you had ordered online.
I got a cold brew with a shot of espresso and vanilla and it was good. I ordered the bacon double egg and cheese sandwich on a everything bagel and that was very good and filling, and I also got a donut to try, I ordered the ore double chocolate one, I thought it was a tad bit dry but its a very dense donut.
My bill was quite pricey though and they have no signs for prices really anywhere, for those 3 items I paid around $22.

This was a bit of a hike out of the immediate area we were staying in for our trip to Newburyport, but it was well worth it! The coffee was the best we’ve had in town, and they have a very welcoming environment. My only regret is that we weren’t in town long enough to try their doughnuts!
Kid-friendliness: Very welcome to kids, and a large bathroom that’s good for wrangling them!

This is a very neat place atmosphere wise. It was my first time coming here and I was very disappointed that the acai was soup right as it was handed to me. When I mentioned it to the girl working she said “is it cause it’s hot outside?” I said you just gave it to us and it was already melted. I’ve never had acai this way before. It’s typically a lot harder similar to ice cream. For the price I paid I am unsure if I would get it here again.

Changing Tides Café has not just a lovely atmosphere, but also friendly staff, great food, and amazing coffee! My partner and I went here for Valentine's Day, and it was just an overall pleasant experience! The mocha latte I got is the best I've had around here, and the donut egg sandwich was tasty and filling! Definitely will come back again! Happy Valentine's Day! ❤️

Went there on a Sunday and was disappointed my cortado was more like a cafe au lait, and my husband's espresso more like an americano. I think maybe the person who knows how to run the espresso machine takes the weekend off because the coffees were a little disappointing for having such a robust menu. Coffee certainly didn't taste bad and it was nice to see they were offering a variety of non-dairy milks for those who prefer those, however I think if a café is going to use George Howell they should make sure they do it right.

This used to be my favorite donut place. Unfortunately donuts are now only available on Friday and the other pastries do not stand out. I hadn’t ordered an açaí bowl in a while and the one I got today was very different and inferior to my previous experience. It used to contain real açaí berries, but now contains only a mushy purée. We also really liked the egg sandwich, but the one we received today didn’t measure up to our previous experience and even lacked cheese(could be a one-off mistake so I won’t judge). Very disappointing to see a favorite cafe deteriorate.
