They sort of con you with there wine prices asking if you want 6 ounces or nine without saying you are going to pay $22 for a glass of house wine.

We had a party of 4 and every dish was amazing. We’re so lucky to have such a great restaurant in Newburyport.

Briana was our server and was very warm and welcoming, she took great care of us. She recommended some of her favorites. I love Italian cuisine and the dishes here were SO yummy, especially the pesto and gnocchi. We ordered two cocktails that were also very good. It was such a fun night. The hostess was also very sweet although i didn’t catch her name. Great service and flavors. We will be back!

As someone who is obsessed with vodka sauce, LaRosa’s is 10/10. I got the drunken parm sandwich and rigatoni vodka. Host and server were so attentive and kind towards my toddler. I can’t wait to come back!!

Can’t rate the food because I was never served. Sat at the bar. Bartender looked directly at me 3 times and did not come up to me!!

We sat at the bar. Was not served bread. I’m not sure if this is not part of bar service or not. No problem for us tho. Service was great. Everyone was friendly and nice. Only place in town that does parmigiano reggiano block freshly grated into your meal. That being said, my two comments are below. These could be changed and I would reconsider my opinion.
1. I wasn’t asked what drink I want for my 2nd drink. Auto assumption that I wanted my 2nd drink to be same as my first one. I didn’t want the same drink. They were very busy so it’s understandable.
2. I got the bucatini vongole . Littlenecks clam with bucatini pasta. My humble opinion I thought it was served rather cold. Like it’s been ready and sitting in the kitchen for a while before served. It didn’t look as good as whatdidyoueattodaysir posted. Clams were so small. I wasn’t satiated and had to eat part of my partners meal.

I just had the best Gnocci Alla Vodka I have ever tasted and my companion had the Bolognese (also excellent). The service was excellent and the location and decor are very nice.
Not inexpensive at all (what is these days?) but it really was dynamite.
The food was delicious, the waitress and managers/owners were friendly and attentive. I’ll be back!

Ewwwww! Why is it so difficult to get a reservation at this place? Must be because it's located right in market square Newburyport. So I'm guessing it's tourists that keep rating it highly. Hugely expensive--I calculte I paid $106/lb for grilled lamb in those ripoff kebabs. So little meat you couldn't get it off the wooden skewer (it's lamb guys, not kobe beef). Drinks took 30 minutes to arrive--waitress kept telling me it's because they were so busy but I calculate it was 60% full. Before it really got busy the inappropriate music was so loud you couldn't have a conversation. But that didn't matter because when it did get busy you couldn't hear that either and had to shout to hear your dining partner. Food arrived in decent time and was pretty good but way over priced. The evening was capped off as the A/C came on at my feet at it hit 59 degrees outside. Blew so forcefully my pant legs were flapping. Called for the check and got out before we froze to death. Not going back.

Many better options in the area, go in with normal ear. Leave deaf. Just too loud.

We were on vacation and they were having a somewhat loud business meeting in the main area.

Myself and my girlfriend have been here multiple times. Everything we have had there is fantastic. Their arancini is some of the best of had. The LaRosa entree is unbelievable. Their sandwiches they serve at lunch time are truly some of the best sandwiches you can get in town. Great location paired with reasonably prices and a good service.

My husband and I ate here to celebrate our anniversary. We both loved the food. We had the burrata to start which was very tasty. My husband enjoyed the wine and I had a non-alcoholic mixed drink which was delicious. I got the papalina, which was delicious little truffle ravioli. My husband got “the best chicken parm he has ever had.” We sat outside and it was absolutely lovely. I have to say going inside I found it a little more loud and crowded and we probably wouldn’t enjoy that atmosphere as much.
