Oregano Pizzeria & Ristorante

My husband and I each had our own custom pizza. Mine was the ricotta, Italian sausage and roasted red peppers. His had pepperoni and meatball both were amazing.

Please train your staff to be more polite and welcoming to customers. We are locals and often dine in downtown Newburyport. Recently, we planned to have dinner at Oregano after work, but the experience was very disappointing. When we walked in, the waitress was rude and unprofessional, telling us to go outside if we were not sitting at the bar. We were surprised by her tone and the unwelcoming way she treated us. Once outside, the hostess asked if we preferred a regular table or a high-top. We said we preferred a regular table, but she refused to seat us because there were only two of us and the table was set for four. Feeling unwelcome, we decided to leave and went to Agave nearby instead. Despite being very busy, their staff was warm, professional, and quickly found us a comfortable table. It was a completely different experience — one that made us feel valued as customers. Unfortunately, after this visit, we will not be returning to Oregano.

It was our first time at Oregano and it did not disappoint..the Lasagna pizza was to die for..we sat outside cause we had our two small pups with us..our waitress was attentive and really pleasant I wish I remembered her name..Great experience would definitely go back!We were there on 7/21/25 early afternoon..

Expensive and slow service

I had the Bison Bollongaise. The portion was large. It was filling, but was just like spaghetti and hamburger you'd make for your kids at home. The wait staff was very attentive.

Love their salads and pizza! Consistently good.

Amazing apps and pizza. Drinks were spot on, and the service was great.

They're oregano original specialty pizza is literally my favorite pizza bar none. They also make my favorit Ramekin/skilet cookie Sunday. They have excellent service. The only issue is completely outside of the control of the restaurant and that is parking. Street side parking is scarce and competitive. Luckily there is a relatively cheap pay to use parking lot around the block.

Great people. Great food. Wild mushroom pizza and oregano pizza out of this world.

Had a late lunch. Servers were very friendly. Food was yummy, drinks were pleasantly strong, and no one bothered us unless we looked like we needed something. It's a small establishment that does things well. Will def visit next time I'm in town!

I had a great experience at this restaurant! The lasagna pizza was absolutely delicious – one of the best I’ve had in a long time. The service was also impressively quick, which made the meal even more enjoyable. The staff were very kind and attentive throughout the visit. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The restaurant was recommended to us by a local. The ambience was beautiful and cozy and our server was very friendly. We ordered the meatballs and grape leaves for an appetizer. The meatballs were very nice, the grape leaves lacked flavour, unusual for grape leaves. I got the lamb kabob that came with hummus and tabouleh salad. The lamb was very tough and the hummus and tabouleh were very bland which was surprising and disappointing. My husband got a pasta dish. The pasta was swimming in lots of overly sweet watery sauce and the chicken was beyond hard. He couldnt eat it.

Sat at the window with my Dad and enjoyed the view, the atmosphere and attentive service. The meatballs and the 'Vermont' panini - twist on a ham and cheese - were both delicious.
