The Starbucks in Newburyport, MA is pretty good. The demanding and narcissistic customers can be a real downer; their impatience is palpable. However, major kudos to the patient and enduring staff of baristas. Despite the challenging clientele, they handle it with grace and professionalism. It's clear they know how to keep their cool in a fast-paced and sometimes frustrating environment. Cheers to the baristas for their resilience!

don't expect to walk in and get a coffee, it'll take 15-20 minutes. always order ahead here or try the various other coffee roasters in town like plum island roasters right next door who are much better for walk ins

On 8/12/2023 around 1pm a friend and I stopped into this Starbucks. This woman came out of the bathroom with a young Shih Tzu puppy, maybe a 5lb. She had this dog on a retractable leash that she let run all over the place, getting underfoot and excited to the point the dog peed on the floor. It wasn’t until I mentioned that her dog peed on the floor did she go and get napkins, throw them on top of the pee, swished it around with her foot and sweep them to the side, left them there and left the store.What did the staff do? NOTHING … they said NOTHINGAs I was getting ready to leave a young man came to clean this mess this ignorant Lady left behind. I turned to him and said .. THIS IS NOT ALRIGHT .. he indicated he was going to say some to his supervisor … I am not sure if he did. What is worse, the staff behind the counter played dumb .. “Oh I did not know she left that behind.”I am a dog owner and it is my understanding that only service dogs are allowed inside eating establishment. I reported this incident to Starbucks and hope they do something about this because next time I will just go to the board of health .. because dogs just peeing on the floor inside eating establishment is JUST NOT OKAY.

Meghan and her team at this Starbucks are top notch. It’s always busy and they handle it with grace. Messed up orders are always remade with a smile. Everyone is always in a good mood and accommodating, which is tough for a busy store. Love it here!

Called this location and asked if they had a certain cup in stock (although it said it was in the app just wanted to make sure) was told that they had it so I Placed a mobile order for the cup. Get all the way to the store and am told that they actually don’t have the cup. They then tell me I can just pick out another cup which I say no to and request a refund to my card. They told me I cannot get a refund back on my card that I must take a store credit! I’m upset that I drove all the way there for nothing and can’t get my money back ATLEAST! i called for a reason so this wouldn’t even happen… SMH.

Dirty bathrooms, rude customer service and dirty lobby oh my. Came through downtown Newburyport for a coffee and to use their bathrooms and I ended up not using the bathroom as it was horrible and dirty. The girl at the register gave an attitude yet they alllllll expect us to tip. Here's a tip, clean your bathroom and be nicer to people that give a business. Wish I didn't pay for the drink but I did. My drink was waiting for an employee to finish its toppings and just threw the drink on the counter, didn't even call out my name. WHATS THE POINT OF ASKING ME MY NAME THEN. Best advice is go somewhere else. Lesson learned with this location.
