I was very confused by the lack of vacancy in this establishment so I unfortunately needed to stay with one of the bartenders. The staff is very hospitable and very charismatic. The vibrant and constant flow of delicious drinks makes this a wonderful destination to return to. Please try their expresso martini. It’ll definitely get you going

Hot night, went in with a friend to grab a drink and dinner. Seated in front, 12 people in the place. Male server (tall and stocky) takes our order. “Two drunken monkeys”. Server then proceeds to stand and talk with his fellow employees. Finally- after a few minutes, he places order with bartender. We’ve now been there waiting for an order close to 12 minutes. No big deal. But they’re not busy and have no interest in really serving the customer. Just looking to have fun while they work. I see the drinks put in the bar ready for us and they sit another few minutes. I finally walk up and ask my server if those are my drinks and can I get them. He looks at me, indignant, and says you’ll get them in a minute when “ I’m ready”. Unbelievable. I go back to the table. Wait another minute or two he finally arrives. We walk out. But before that, he says it was only eight minutes from order to serving drinks. Imagine that. After many years of loyalty to this restaurant, one server wipes out hundreds of dollars of sales and a bad review. Amazing.

My hubby, 2 year old daughter and I stayed at the paddle inn, it was charming and the owners were very nice. We appreciated the cable tv. The interesting part was the layout including bathroom, a queen and a single bed is an unusual layout and still decided whether we love or hate it. The bathroom had the A/C which made for chilly night time bathroom runs! Hehe! A minor stink, but nothing overwhelming. Overall, would recommend for low budget motel stay!
I ordered take out dumplings on the evening of May 30, 2024 while I was at the Thirsty Whale performing karaoke (because the TW’s kitchen closed at 6pm). The food was timely prepared and tasty but they could have added some plastic utensils and napkins. Oh well!

We loved Paddle inn!! My friends and I were in-town for an Art Exhibition that I was in. We first went to the Poynt (so terrible, bad service and rude staff) and I'm so happy we left! This place is adorable, the energy was great, food was AMAZING. Our waitress Maggie was so much fun and the chef even came out to thank us for coming. It's truly a gem

amazing food, really friendly people. awesome place to gather and have fun. sitting outside is great! inside also has this homey atmosphere you really feel welcome at the paddle inn! the staff really go above and beyond to make sure you're satisfied. if you're unsure what you want to eat they'll be happy to recommend! I haven't experienced the bar myself but from what I hear it's also great!

My husband and I were in Newburyport (from New Hampshire) and we went in for a quick drink and an app. We ended up staying for 3 hours. We chatted with the staff, ate some amazing food and drank some awesome drinks. Morty, Nick, Morgan, and the rest of the staff were super welcoming and friendly. They even put on the record I picked. Can't wait to go back ?
