Just stopped-in for a drink after work, no acknowledgment by barstaff for nearly 10-minutes -- finally, the barman says, "you're next", and then serves three other people.
I finally left after nearly 22-minutes of being on premises without services. Shame, I was planning my team's monthly outing there too.
I won't be back.

The charming iconic pub of Newburyport that's stood the test of time. It's a classic bar with a welcoming vibe. An end of the night or start of the night, type place. Overall a place with cheep drinks and fun locals. They have karaoke on Thursdays too.
Parking: No direct parking but only a short distance walk from the paid lots.

Can not tell you how wonderful this place is! The burgers and fries are amazing! My girlfriend and I plan to go back in a few weeks just for lunch! Attentive wait staff! Keep up the great work and don't change anything!

Hammer Head
Look this is an old school bar with fair prices and probably the only true bar left in town. It's not fancy but it's a lot fancier than it used to be. The food was alway ok but this new guy knows how to select and fry a piece of fish you will be hard pressed to find a better piece of fried fish in town. Sorry I lready had a bite
Tonight was St Patty's day. Obviously people are out drinking. And I don't want to bad mouth Obi too hard, but he was looking for someone to kick out. Even had the audacity to charge at me a second time, when I was outside the bar talking to friends, to continue his power trip. I'm "not allowed back", but after tonight's experience, I wouldnt recommend this bar to my worst enemy. The last thing anyone needs is a bouncer trying to come at you after you've already left. Totally unnecessary and I hope the Whale figures this out. Great establishment, great staff, but a bouncer should never charge at a guest trying to fight them, especially when the guest is on their way to their car. Please get your staff in order.
