This place was easily the worst experience I have ever had. It was my girlfriends birthday and The service was terrible, the food was horrible and we were charged for food and drinks we didn't have because they were disgusting. Yes we spoke to someone 2 times and nothing was resolved. I spent $150 on absolutely nothing and I am just so disappointed that the server even had the nerve to ask us if we wanted our stuff to go. Never going here again and her birthday was ruined.
The Mussel appetizer was fresh, generous and tasty. The mussels were VERY large, the broth was buttery, smooth with the right touch of white wine; the crusty dipping bread was perfect. The swordfish entree with orzo salad was delicious. Our server, Stephanie was pleasant, professional and appropriately attentive.
Always a favorite of ours. Window table on the enclosed deck was great, as was our server Sara. Food, as always, was delicious.
The location outside on the deck was amazing! The food & cocktails were great as was our server! 10 out of 10!
We had to wait 20 minutes even with a reservation. They clearly took too many walk in's while fully ignoring the reserved parties, as that's the whole point of a reservation. And then our food took well over an hour to come out while we saw several tables who sat 30 minutes after us get theirs first. Our waitress didn't even come to take our order for 20 minutes.
I recently dined at Tuscan Sea Bar with a group of friends, and the experience was a bit of a mixed bag. While the atmosphere was inviting and the service was attentive, my personal meal fell short—it was disappointingly bland and lacked flavor. However, the rest of my party seemed to enjoy their dishes, praising the taste and presentation. One highlight of the meal was undoubtedly the Mimosa Tower. They were perfectly balanced, with just the right amount of fizz and sweetness—truly refreshing and worth coming back for! Overall, Tuscan Sea seems to have potential, but the inconsistency in food quality was a letdown for me personally. If you're planning a visit, maybe stick to the drinks menu and hope your dish turns out better than mine!
Many mixed reviews of this place so we gave it a shot. Well let me say I am glad we did! I had the clam chowder, one of the best I have had. The prosciutto on top was a nice touch. Oysters, were top notch!
One and done. Very disappointing and won’t be going back. Menu is vague and confusing. Entrees were limited, pricey and the portions small.

All about the visual vibe, less about the food. Enchanting and romantic atmosphere, striking first at the lit torches and sparkling lights at the entrance all the way through to the fire pits in the waterfront anteroom. But once the slick surroundings have settled in and you focus on the menu you realize how unimaginative the food creativity will be. Humdrum selections, remarkably few gf options, uninspired and tired. Wine at 26.00 a glass is nervy. Happy to splurge on cost when food is excellent, but food excellence did not prevail, the lobster in the lobster roll was insultingly terrible. Had the dry rubbery signature of being thawed from a frozen state. Barely recognizable as lobster. The mussels were highly overseasoned with too much Chile spice. The waitress, though pleasant in an artificial way, came off as pushy. So many better options to dine in newburyort. Have yet to be impressed have yet to be impressed by any of the Tuscan franchises

I enjoyed the most delicious bowl of clam chowder I have ever had, except for the one I make 😉 the perfect crunch of the celery and onions were what set it apart. The interior is spectacular. The bar is wonderful and the views are phenomenal. What a great location. Just wanted a quick snack and that's what we got. Jimmy was quick to serve us.

Food was poor, over-priced, parking difficult and over-priced. Just a tourist trap with a water view.

My husband and I went for the 1st time tonight for my Bday. Very disappointed. Food was not good! The hot rolls were too oily/greasy and no salt or garlic on them. Didn’t quite get why so oily if no seasoning was going to be applied and baked on top?? The clam chowder was the consistency of oatmeal. I sent mine back. My husband ate a little of his. He felt bad. Fried calamari was ok. However, really petite squid. Beet and goat cheese salad was delicious. My lemon cello martini was yummy. Nice location and nicely appointed inside.
Main course: Hubby had stuffed shrimp with crab meat and corn. There was about 1/2 tsp of “stuffing” in each shrimp. Shrimp was huge (3) but very tough. Sat on a bed of bland capellini then underneath that was a bed of corn??!!?? Not good. Me: Swordfish on bed of, again, bland orzo “salad” with arugula and a few cherry tomatoes. No seasonings in the “salad”. My swordfish was raw on the inside. Sent it back. Staff very gracious from our waiter, Greg, to the front Hostess. They had a new Swordfish meal prepared for me and fish was cooked nicely. Would have liked to have eaten my main course along with my husband. Desert selection not great. We had the macadamia and white chocolate cookie with chocolate gelato ( we substituted chocolate instead of the coconut). Gelato and cookie delicious. However, came in a small iron pan that was hot but the cookie was cold and burnt on top. Clearly not heated in oven. Looked like a kitchen torch was used on top of cookie. Staff did not charge us for my chowder or my meal which we appreciated and is customary. Handled professionally!
Again, staff were top notch! Food really subpar.
Won’t be going back unfortunately. ☹️

Food and staff were very good. Had tuna and chips and stuffed shrimp . My partner had octopus and halibut. The tuna app was huge and the stuffed shrimp were excellent. My partner enjoyed his appetizer and halibut also. Liked the seating on the enclosed porch. Was very comfortable and quiet. Would go back

I absolutely love this restaurant. The sauce that my shrimp dish was prepared in was outstanding. I can't recommend Tuscan Sea Grill enough.
