Family gathering of four. We each travelled over an hour in either direction and found the Tuscan Sea Grillbyi be just perfect in every way. Our seating was right away and we had a perfect table overlooking the Merrimack River. Delightful meal in every way. Loved it.
My wife loved the lobster flatbread. I had the Bolognese which seemed a bit light on meat, heavy on tomato sauce and bits of tomato's. Great ambiance and view, liked the heaters out on the deck. A little tough getting in for my wife with her walker but made it up the two steps. Waitress for got us for a bit, but overall nice place.
Great view of the marina but the food just wasn't up to standard. Had a very nice attentive server. I got the Halibut and it was a weird type of dish. Others got a hamburger which was okay and another got the caesar salad with shrimp which was liked. Had the chowder to start which was very peppery. Bread looked like it would be good but it was just okay. Perhaps it was an off night but I don't know.
From the octopus appetizer (a larger than normal portion) to the tuna with coconut rice, steak tips, polenta and a kale salad, it was all well prepared and very good. Wines from reputable vineyards and an Aperol Spritz added to this being a happy experience. In our opinion, the Tuscan Grill is one of if not the best restaurant in Newburyport.
We had an absolutely fabulous time at the Tuscan Sea Grill yesterday. The food was delicious and the service was outstanding! My friends were visiting from out of town and were so impressed. Thanks for making the experience quite memorable for us.
I should be accustomed to food that is served waterside. I lived in Tahoe for years. It's def the ambiance that attracts people. Ambiance: very good. Fun, esthetically pleasing. we sat outside and had a wonderful view of the marina. Very Nice inside too! The bar appeared to be a fun, upscale social area. There was some sort of party on the side and tables looked lovely. Food: Well, we come from Northern California and the food in NH and surrounding areas we have found to be hit or miss. I had the fish tacos (I should know better, but cant someone who previously lived in CA bring the East Coast the proper way to make fish tacos. The tortillas were cold. Ribeye tacos-Tortillas were cold and Hot sauce mayo was way overdone and ruined the taste of the ribeye. If I would have know, I would have said no sauce. Broccolini ws good. Tuna roll was good. Lots of sauce. SERVICE: Hostess was on it and greeted us promptly and with a smile. Our server, sorry I forget her name, was EXCELLENT!!!! She was professional. down to earth, and fun!!!!
The chef clearly knows what they’re doing.

If only the food was a good as the service. Very small portions for the money. Salmon was barely cooked - didn't realize I needed to request well done. Red snapper somewhat flavorless. One in our party order a burger and fries. The fries were exceptional. Very noisy atmosphere.

A perfect birthday celebration for friends... the sunset was spectacular, Aidan our waiter was very attentive, the food choices were varied and a lovely, and a lovely overall experience. It was a Monday night and not all restaurants are open, so I was very happy to find the restaurant busy, lively and a fun vibe. I had the swordfish special and I am a very finicky swordfish person. I can spot previously frozen and not harpooned daily, easily. This was EXCELLENT and so fresh. I split a salad, the Caesar, and it was just okay. Nothing special, but it's a basic salad. Aidan recommended the chocolate chip sundae for our birthday dessert and that was perfect. We were one of the last guest to leave, but didn't feel rushed or pushed out. Would heartily recommend!
Best water view in Newburyport! Very beautiful . Drinks were spectacular and food was great .

Tuscan never disappoints- the atmosphere, cleanliness, and food - top notch -the scallops special was great and the lobster roll competes with anything in the region - the staff and service are what separates this place from the rest - always feel welcome, relaxed and never rushed... see you soon!
Went there last night for our wedding anniversary since 2 people talked us into try it .My husband called ahead to reserve a table for 2 he even mentioned that it was our anniversary and we would like the table to be outside to enjoy the view as it was our first time there and I had check the online menu and I wasn’t impressed with it but we decided to give it a chance. The person who answered the phone was very friendly and even said she would write a note about the request. We got there and found out that they don’t reserve tables on specific place on busy days ( we were never notified about that when we called)and they had a table inside for us next to the bar which it was so loud. I wanted to cry . I asked if we could be seated outside, they didn’t like my question and said that could happen if we waited 25 minutes, we agreed . After 5 minutes we were seated outside on a 4 seats high pub table very uncomfortable. DEFINITELY NOT THE NIGHT I WAS EXPECTING AT ALL . NOT THE PLACE FOR A DATE NIGHT WITH HUSBAND , LOUD MUSIC . Yes we could have left but it was late already and we don’t really know the area to look for a different place at that time
Food was good and waitress was nice as well . But a place to go with friends, to be loud and have drinks like a regular bar.
